In Short – Twinkle lights, vintage modern furnishings and curated art fill this cozy space, with counter and table seating for about 50. While the weather holds, Lula's also has a sidewalk cafe with bright green chairs that beckon crowds for weekend brunching. The regular menu teems with intriguing choices like tineka, a spicy, Indonesian update on the peanut butter sandwich. Sesame maki rolls make a crisp vegetarian starter, while the mild tamarind chicken sandwich offers fresh basil and tomatoes. Recent weekend brunch specials included Parmesan grits and blackberry-stuffed brioche…
wonderful

the good: food, service, and overall atmosphere are top-notch. an extraordinary, ever-changing specials menu gives you a new, amazing dish every weekend before 2, and even it's regular dishes are great.
the bad: waiting. in the winter. outside and miserable. also, it rarely isn't crowded, even in the bar waiting area, and you're lucky if you're only in there 15 minutes.
the ugly: though the art itself is beautiful, it rarely changes, and while an exhibit of R.E.M.-inspired artwork is interersting, i doubt anyone looks at it and thinks 'this will never get old', the flowers always look like they've been dead for six months, and if you bring your kids prepare to have everyone in the building hate your fertile guts.
Good for a casual lunch with a couple friends

I went to Lula's for an early lunch with some friends one morning. It is a little small, and has an indie vibe. The waiters are in regular clothes. It seems sort of run down from the outside, but that adds to the charm, as it is very modern in the inside. There are exotic flowers at every table. The menu is a little small but the food is very fresh and tasty. It's healthy too, no deep-fried chicken here. I would recommend the fruit smoothie. I wouldn't go out of my way to come here, but if I'm walking by I would definitely stop in.
- Pros: Tasty, lean food
- Cons: Semi-decent service
Delicious!

I've been referred to Lula's by a friend, have since then have taken many friends on many weekends to this delicious, savory spot! The Sunday line is annoyingly long, but the food is well worth the wait! The STRADA is the absolute BEST! My friends enjoyed their breakfast burritos, and the morning drinks are delicious as well! The only disappointing thing was the French Toast... I'd go elsewhere for those...
- Pros: Savories!
- Cons: the long line, the French Toast
