don't move the table. went there tonight with my family of 5. good burger. there was 1 table of 3 in the entire place. about 20 open tables. as all the tables are round 4 tops, i pushed 2 tables together. the waiter immediately told me "we don't allow you to move the table" i thought he had to be kidding, he was not. when i asked why he said " we just don't allow it" remember when rest. went out of their way to accomodate their cutomers. not this place! as it was late and we were hungry we stayed. warning: don't move the tables!!!! it wouldn't have been too difficult for them to be nice, there still would have been about 18 open tables!
Carlie Beinlich's. are you kiddin' me?? there is no better.....i've been going to Charlie's for almost 20 years and simply put, it's the BEST!! Now when are they open in '08 because i'm "jonesing" for a burger?
More than 50 years after opening, this generations-old family burger joint still attracts all ages and persuasions..
In Short
Upon entering, a roadhouse feel pervades this vintage supper club, thanks to trophy-worthy fishing catches hung from knotty pine walls. Workers donning jeans pack the red vinyl bar stools for lunchtime burgers and beer, while families munch tuna salad sandwiches, chili and grilled cheese at tables. The menu of basics also includes shrimp or crabmeat cocktail, barbecue beef and sandwiches like roast beef and ham. Sides are limited to slaw and fries.
I don't get it. Before I went here I always heard people rave about the place. I don't get it. The hamburger is average at best, pretty much bland and mushy. I can make a better one at home. It is really nothing more than glorified fast food, especially when its busy. Get in, eat, get out. They should at least have a TV so you can watch sports, after all you are nothing but a hamburger joint.
Don't Miss Out!. All I have to say is Awesome! The burgers at this place are just awesome. If you haven't tried them yet, you are just plain missing out. Best burger I have ever tasted hands down. And as a Beinlick's veteran, I must let you in a little secret - the seafood cocktail is great as well.
Crowded but Great.
Charlie Beinlich's is almost certain to be packed and for good reason. The burgers are oustanding and the service is great. I'm not talking high school kids on summer break for a wait staff, this is a mature experienced staff who treat you like you are in a fine dining establishment.
Don't let the crowd scare you, tables open up quickly & the burgers are worth the wait!
the benchmark. the benchmark that all others try to match. the quality has been an on going LEGEND. you want the best hamburger in the world, yes the world, go to charlies. exspect the best because you get it.
It's the MEAT. Great burgers start with great meat. Beinlich's is delivered fresh daily from Lakeside Foods. With out a doubt, the best anywhere.
Best Burger Anywhere. This is far and away the best place for a burger anywhere - just don't ask for lettuce or tomato or dessert. It is a wonderful bare bones place - always packed, filled with regulars, dark and cozy and truly unique.
