The Local Option serves delicious burgers/sandwiches, great Cajun style seafood (yes, seafood) dishes, even better french fries (I will rarely compliment a restaurant's french fries), and an extensive beer selection (I counted over 60 different drafts/bottles to choose from).
The jukebox was down but Hendrix was played for the half full crowd that was looking to unwind in a chill atmosphere on a Wednesday night. Perfect!…
Above Average Bar Food and Friendly Environment. This is a place we always go back to. They have some interesting beers, a great atmosphere and a creole inspired bar menu. The steak tacos are amazing but they have some really good salads as well for those who want to eat on the healthy side.…

Hands down, the Local Option serves the best burger in all of Chicago, and I'm compairing it to all the over priced steak houses I've eaten at in the city. I highly recomend you go in and taste it.

A great local option. My friend and I went there on a weekday for some beer and bar food. The Gumbo was amazing and he had the shrimp po-boy. All of the food was great and the server was attentive. And when the credit card machine went down and we had to get cash from the ATM he took one of the beers off of our tap to make up for the inconvience. Overall the place was great and the food was top notch.…
