The Scene – This place is easy on the eyes: Two small rooms with hardwood floors, solid wood tables, and walls painted in soft, muted tones. Owners and folk art collectors Rodney and Renee Carswell's eclectic taste permeates the space, from contemporary gothic paintings and displays of local photography to a curious pencil collection in a rack at the front counter. – – The Food – The early menu offers hearty egg dishes, sandwiches, wraps, fresh soups, hot plates and fresh pastries. At breakfast, the enormous, delicious egg sandwich piles scrambled eggs, roasted…

Lost our order

by briannalynn at Citysearch

I've only been once. But at first they were really rude with checking our ID's. Then they LOST our order, after we ordered 15 minutes earlier. The muscles were blah, but the fish taco's were good. Service was just plain awful! I wouldn't go back their...They need to get their stuff together!

Nothing Special

by iaal at Citysearch

Ordered delivery from here. Food arrived over an hour after ordering, they assured us it would be here in 30 minutes. Dishes were cold, soggy, and difficult to eat out of their fancy looking take out boxes. Flavors in most dishes were nonexistent, and the few that had flavor must have had every spice in the kitchen in them. In the end I enjoyed the bread and thats about it. As the headline states, nothing special, there are plenty of other great places in the area to try.

Bruch is a Lock

by HeyNowLDT at Citysearch

I used to live on the West Coast, and I have a fondness for breakfast burritos. Flo is my favorite place in Chicago to try to recapture that West Coast glory. It's kind of steep, but delicous, nonetheless. In fact the whole brunch is inspired by the Southwest. I've never had a regular meal there, but they also seem to have a wide variety of options. Last time I went, I had the blueberry pancakes, and they were perfectly cooked and perfectly balanced with the blueberry to batter ratio. Another important fact to be noted is their use of my favorite local coffee, Intelligentsia. You are able to help yourself to it when you're waiting for your table, but, contrary to popular belief, it is not free. They add it to your tab when you are seated.
