“The atmosphere inside was great, good art and eccletic vibe.”
“You will immediatley feel the great sting in your throat from how spicy this drink is.”
“It's not hot just for the sake of being hot, but hot from all the fresh peppers and spices they must use.”
“Excellent, friendly service and an eclectic menu with something for everyone.”
“What a great little find this restaurant was for me trying to offer out of town guests something better than the typical overpriced brunch of downtown.”
“Would highly recommend this place and will sure be back!”
“The service is completely awesome.”
“Great breakfast value!”
Twice in a week. My wife and I enjoyed incredible breakfast on a Sunday morning. We really didn't want to leave. Great food, cool space and friendly service. I liked it so much, I scheduled a business breakfast the following week and my associates enjoyed immensely.
Great guacamole!. Excellent brunch spot. Great eggs, food seemed healthy, fresh & definitely not greasy. Cozy atmosphere.
Best Brunch I've Ever Had. I am originally from Santa Fe, New Mexico. I am telling you.........the Huevos Rancheros (for brunch) was to DIE for. The red chile sauce (Hatch, NM) was wonderful, the eggs were cooked perfect, and the tortilla was warm and delicious. My husband had the same with a side of french toast and homefries. We will be regulars without a doubt!
Go with the Flo!.
Wow. Went a Sunday morn and had to wait about a half hour, but WELL worth the wait. Good God!
I had the huevos rancheros. My brother got the breakfast tacos. Wife had the strawberry pancakes. Aunt Mildred, they were good!
And food is all under 8 bucks...you can't beat that.
The inside is cool without being pretentious, and the tattooed lad waiting our table couldn't have been a nicer chap.
I'd say best kept secret in the city, but judging from the wait, maybe it's not so much a secret.
Only drawback is that the place is not built for parties of more than about 4. You're best off going with a party of deuce.
Hoddy toddy, what a rush!
What a meal!. The food here is great. We arrived around 11 AM for brunch and had a short wait which was no big deal. The atmosphere inside was great, good art and eccletic vibe. What blew us away was how awesome the food is! The egg sandwhich with red peppers and spininch is incredible as well as the has. Can't wait to go back and try other menu items. Highly Recommend!
This quiet, relaxing River West cafe perks up with subtle, stylish Southwestern decor and friendly service..
The Scene
This place is easy on the eyes: Two small rooms with hardwood floors, solid wood tables, and walls painted in soft, muted tones. Owners and folk art collectors Rodney and Renee Carswell's eclectic taste permeates the space, from contemporary gothic paintings and displays of local photography to a curious pencil collection in a rack at the front counter.
The Food
The early menu offers hearty egg dishes, sandwiches, wraps, fresh soups, hot plates and fresh pastries. At breakfast, the enormous, delicious egg sandwich piles scrambled eggs, roasted peppers, spinach and basil mayo on thick brioche toast and is served with home fries. The chilaquiles winningly blend eggs, corn tortillas, onions and chicken topped with cheddar cheese and served with a warm tortilla and firm black beans. A dinner menu offers signature items like Frito pie and the "Flo bowl," a melange of grilled shrimp, chicken, sausage, mushrooms and rice.
Great breakfast value!. Huevos rancheros are excellent!!! Excellent, friendly service and an eclectic menu with something for everyone. A new breakfast favorite!
Now This is What I'm Talkin' About. You can't go wrong with a marriage of Latin culture/spice and breakfast. Healthy, chic, but not so over the top that you feel like you have to put up a front. The service was quite impeccable. The pancakes..any of them..excellent. Expect to pay maybe about 10-12 for breakfast without tax. Haven't been there for dinner yet, but I've heard good things about their fritos pie. If you have nothing to talk about, the ambience will give you plenty. Modern paintings adorn the walls for those looking for anything to say.
"Flo"'s Review by MWK. This resturaunt is the perfect place whether it's for an intimate date or a small gathering of good friends. The service was extremely attentive. The food was impeccable. The menu either for dinner or brunch was very exciting and mouth watering! This is highly recommended!
Treated like friends. We were in town last week for four days, and ended up having breakfast at Flo twice. Great burrito and low-rider breakfast. On the second visit, our original waiter from the first visit remembered us right away, and even though he wasn't our server he checked on us and chatted with us about our visit to Chicago. He was very sweet and friendly. Half of my breakfast burrito made it home to Minneapolis and was just as delicious reheated.
