The Appeal
Humboldt lies on 1.75 miles of land, lending natural scenery to the inner city. Taking advantage of its beautiful setting, the park offers nature classes called Nature Trekkers and Kids & Nature for youngsters ages 5-13. Several opportunities for adults to get involved are offered, such as a park advisory council and a park rangers program that focuses on keeping the grounds clean year-round.
The Experience
Kids can appreciate the park's vast facilites in an after-school program offering seasonal sports, fun with music, floor hockey, arts and crafts, game room activities, table games, and game room tournaments. Teenagers get involved by joining the teen club or by participating in seasonal sports. Adults who want to get into shape can take low-impact aerobics. Although park activities are safe, employees advise caution after dark.

Great for running...2.5 miles around. The City has recently made many improvements and the park is cleaner and more beautiful every day. It's a real escape. Some may still "shake in their boots" when they hear, "Humboldt Park", but the area only continues to improve. Can't say enough about how grand and beautiful this park is.
Pros: Good Parking, Huge, Beautiful
