The Scene
Middle Eastern meets modern in this stylish space, where copper-plated tables, hypnotic sitar music and a decor rich with red, blue and gold blend to set an exotic mood. Black-clad beauties linger in the cool white bar and lounge area; diners sit at tables in the dark, blood-red dining room or on pillows in the funky Crescent Room, a festive communal dining area where you bathe your hands in rose water before eating a traditional five-course Mediterranean feast.
The Food
Tizi Melloul's Mediterranean menu starts with tempting appetizers like fire-roasted mussels with warm harissa butter and grilled calamari stuffed with merguez sausage. Baba ghanoush, zesty tapenade and tabbouleh add up to a flavorful salad course; entrees range from grilled lamb loin with artichokes and fava beans to marinated duck breast with lentils and applewood bacon and brine-cured grilled pork chop with spiced carrots, raisins, pine nuts and tomato marmalade.

The dinner we had was great! The flavors exploded in your mouth! I didn't expect this from Tizi, I have been here in the past (4 years ago)and was skeptical to come back--boy am I glad I did! The service was ok but the food and atmosphere will bring me back!!!

Went in for dinner last week and we had a blast! The room was beautiful, and the food was amazing. Service was fine, very attentive and friendly. My friends and I all had different dishes from apps to entrees and we were not disappointed! The pear salad, fantastic!!! We can't wait to go back!!
