This weekends-only Andersonville spot serves up reasonably priced Italian fare in a low-lit, romantic space.. In Short
Next door to old-school Italian, Calo, sibling restaurant Finestra is clean and contemporary. Exposed brick and sponge-painted walls create a warm, familiar ambience, with an open kitchen and floor-to-ceiling doors that open the space to bustling Clark Street. The menu boasts Italian classics, from starters of stuffed eggplant and filet mignon carpaccio to veal scalloppini and spinach dumplings in a cream sauce of blue cheese, mascarpone and Parmesan.

Outstanding Italian Food!. This place is a real gem in Andersonville. It's more of an upscale version of Calo next door, but excellent food well worth the value. The restaurant is attractive and the service is good. Try the tuna appetizer and also the rolled eggplant. The roasted chicken with vegetables is good and the gnocchi in a gorgonzola cream sauce is incredible. Don't miss the chocolate mousse!

Great atmosphere. The ambience is perfect for a date or dinner with friends. Service was just okay. Our bread came out late...dinner came out on time, but dessert took forever! Tiramisu was dry.
