“This restaurant serve a really good food, almost all the food from their menu are excellent, making people willing to wait for a long line t.”

Joe's is sexy. Sexy bar, sexy seafood, sexy martinis. And so sexy that it's right across from Nordstrom.

Food is solid (splurge on key lime pie!), but tourists abound, priced are inflated, and there's a very chain-y feel. Eat in the bar area.
Best Overall.
My wife and I visited Joe's recently. I had stone crab bisque, large stone crab and the banana dessert. My wife had select stone crab, coffee and key lime pie.
Stone Crab Bisque: OUT OF THIS WORLD!
I have had countless different bisques from many great places but this was the best by far.
Large/Select stone crab: Great
banana dessert : AWESOME!
Key Lime Pie: Quote from wife: "Oh my god the crust, The flavor of fresh key lime, it was so smooth. It was the best".
Coffee: You wouldn't think it but this coffee also made an impression. What ever kind that coffee was, it was F@#k!&g great.
Great food, great service.
You will go back, I promise you.
THE BEST FRIED LOBSTER. I went to Joes while in Chicago for a concert. I had the fried lobster and asparagus it was so great I want to fly back just to get some more I've had it other places but theirs was so great its worth a try I dont remeber what my friends had but it was good we all give it 5 stars the bill was around 140 for 3 people and only 1 alcohol drink and the others were pops so if you plan on drinking the price goes up but its worth a try if you love seafood. And the staff was so pleasing the waiter even helped me cut my food . I will probaly go to the one in Miami next.
Great all-around experience. I made a reservation for a Monday night. I showed up about 40 minutes early to have drinks in the bar (the front room/bar was extremely crowed). When I checked in, I was told that they didn't have my reservation. But the host assured me he would take care of me. So we had drinks in the bar (very good ones) and were seated at exactly our reservation time!! The waiter was wonderful, the shrimp appetizer was yummy. I got the tuna with a side of broccoli. The tuna was delicious!! The broccoli had a cheese topping which wasn't very cheesy tasting (too bad) but still good. The key lime pie was tasty. We love this place and keep coming back!!
Excellent food and service!!!!Be sure to visit.
Before i chose Joe's for our dining restaurant i have read and heard many positive and great reviews of this place so my expectations were high. We were seated in a timely manner, slightly after our reservation time b/c i have requested a different seating area and we had to wait an extra couple of minutes.(No big deal). Our server was Charles who was very polite, helpful and knowledgeable.
The appetizers and soups were great, we had the crab and artichoke gratin, shrimp de jonghe and stone crab bisque. For our main dish we had the chillean seabass, stone crabs and stuffed sole which were all heavenly and cooked to perfection. Charles our server was always there to answer any questions we had and made sure our needs were taken care of. Lastly our desserts were also excellent, overall we had a great time and experience.
For seafood and steak lovers this place is a must.Job Well Done!!!!!!!!
Hostess or Guantanamo Guard - Reply. For those readers concerned by the review of delyco...I am the Managing Partner of Joe's Seafood, Prime Steak & Stone Crab. I helped build the restaurant, train the staff and instill a culture of caring for the guest as a hallmark of how we do business. I received an e-mail describing this event from the reviewer and responded immediately, as did our Chef Partner and General Manager. We, unfortunately, never received a reply. As a restaurant operator, you do everything in your power to ensure that every guest who walks through your doors, leaves having had an experience which exceeds their expectations and gives them reason to recommend it confidently to others. There will be times, hopefully infrequently, when we fall short and that provides us with a greater opportunity to win our guest's patronage, by resolving the situation in a manner which demonstrates our sense of caring and committment to our guest's satisfaction. Unfortunately, this reviewer never gave us the chance to do either.
Fantastic Seafood & Service.
In Chicago for short biz trip w/ my wife, I wanted to find the best seafood restaurant downtown. Joe's Seafood exceeded my expectations. In short, the food was fantastic, the atmosphere was great, and the service was exceptional. One of the best dining experiences that I have had in a long time and I eat at nice places. The atmosphere is old-school chicago, with Frank Sinatra & Billie Holiday music playing. The bar is a little crowded, but they do a good job of seating you. The staff was extremely friendly.
On to the meal. The crab claws were good, not phenominally large, but good sized. The crab bisque was amazing, you have to get some. Our waiter, Tim, was very knowledgeable, honest, and provided exceptional service and made great suggestions. My wife had the seabass, and it was very tasty. I was recommended to try the Cod, which is a fish that I would not normally order. It was excellent and I would highly recommend that dish. It was very rich tasty, miso glazed, and melted in your mouth. The vegetable sides were good, but not great. We had the Banana cream pie for desert and it was very good.
Unforeseen challenge: some j@ck@ass bar customer decided to try to be funny and pull the fire alarm on the way out the door. The caused various fire extinguishers to go off inside the restaurant and they had to evacuate all the patrons. Fortunately it was close to closing time and most people were eating desert or done. The staff handled this challenge very well. The removed any items that were on your table at the time and either took them off your bill or provided you with fresh ones. They also were very open about the situation and really took care of use.
If you are looking for that old-school Chicago feel, amazing seafood, and great service, Joe's is the place to go.
Hostess or Guantanamo Guard?.
My fiancee and I, from Ann Arbor, Michigan, decided at the last moment to spend New Year's Eve in Chicago. We decided to step out of our hotel an see if any good restaurants were nearby. We came across Joe's and thought we would see if we could get a table. Business was bustling, but my fiancee found what was apparently the hostess: an older woman with funky red hair and rhinestones in her eyeglasses. He asked if it was possible to get a table, and she snapped at him, "Not without a reservation!" My fiancee, a gentleman not used to being spoken to so brazenly, commented back to her, "There's no need to be rude about it, I just wanted to know if it was possible." Her defense was not apologetic at all: she said that she was not being rude, only stating a fact. I agreed with my fiancee's perception of her uncouth demeanor--she was seething with very intolerable attitude. Additionally, when we turned to leave, he was quite certain that he felt her intentionally elbow him toward the door (hard to prove in the crowd). You'd think she was a prison guard as her last gig!
Perhaps we were naive for trying for a seat on New Year's Eve without a reservation...but I don't think so, since we simply went a few doors down to the Captial Grille, which was also packed, but had an extremely courteous hostess who found us a seat in their state room in less than an hour. They had superb food, but without the pretentious service.
Great Service and Food. Read the Reviews and Joe's did not let us down! Went to Joe's to celebrate my Husband's bday. Seated promptly, Larry our waiter covered each menu item with a description- his knowledge of the menu was exceptional and he had great recommendations. We tried the full house appetizer and the stone crab bisque. Yum... that's all I have to say. We were so excited about our dinner after tasting the bisque and appetizers. I had the canadian lobster tails along with a baked potato and roasted corn. My husband ordered fish and he loved it! We also had Joe's Key lime pie for dessert- very good. Larry made our dining experience memorable, we never lacked for attentive service. Thank YOU Larry and Joe's. Everything was outstanding.
Unfriendly Maitre d'.. We moved to chicago a year ago from britain and decided to spend our 1yr wedding anniversary dining at Joes for the first time, after randomly selecting it from a number of restaurants to try.The Maitre d' was so unfriendly, had a face on like you were walking into a funeral, his overall behaviour was so unwelcoming. Good food but wouldn't go back there.First and last time.
Highly recommended. The atmosphere was great and the food was even better. The menu was a bit pricey but you understand why once you taste the food. I would go back again in a heart beat.
