The Scene
To enter, patrons walk downstairs through a menacing plaster mouth not unlike Monstro's in "Pinocchio." There's a good selection of beers on tap at the circular island bar, and the prices aren't bad considering the prime Gold Coast location. Separating this lounge from the disco is a large room that includes a pool table, coat check and gift shop, an air hockey table and a photo booth. It's a mainstream destination for a few locals sprinkled in with the mass of suburbanites and tourists.
The Draw
In the disco it's a mix of everything from Janet Jackson to Van Morrison, which gets the dance floor crowd singing into their beer bottles like microphones. The free jukebox leans toward classic rock.

The worst experience of my life!!!! The bouncers are ignorant and biased against people of color. They denied my husband access due to his wardrobe my husband changed his clothes and meanwhile they allowed a white man to enter even though he had on gymshoes like my husband did. When asked what the difference was they said that they did not say that. After my husband changed his shoes and his shirt they still did not let him enter this time because of "baggy jeans". When asked to see the manager the manager refused to come out. When my husband originally asked what was wrong with his attire they only mentioned the shoes and tthe shirt not the pants. I guess they were not expecting him to go change so they made another rule to deny us.The bouncers then tried to say we were drunk and that was an outright lie. By the reviews I have read I can see that this is not an islolated case. Why do we continue to give this club our hard earned money when they clearly have a problem with race. This place should be shut down. BOYCOTT

Teeka I think her name is. Wow, wanted to fight her customers. Maybe she was having a bad day, or maybe she shouldn't drink when she's working. It's too bad really, I like Mother's, it's hilarious and fun.

The bouncers laughed at us, then threw us out as we went outside to smoke. We nicely asked why, and they answered"because we can and we have the power" one of the bouncers was blk, while the other was white with slicked back hair. These bouncers are obviously abusing their power. I will never consider going back there, and will inform others of my horrible exeprience. If you want the bouncers to treat you like a worthless piece of trash, then go right in, but if you dont want that, then simly go somewhere elese.
