Can't say I'd hang out at Mother's too often, but if I had a few too many cocktails elsewhere, it's not a horrible place to hang, especially if one's looking for some classic State and Division action.

They are racist against blacks and latins. Any any people of color. So since they dont like color people. make sure they see very little of the color GREEN.

Disgrace. When the advertise that 80's iconic movies were filmed there, they don't say that they wish they were still in an 80's movie -- where racial minorities are relegated to the background. Pathetic.

It is disappointing to hear that blatant racism still takes place, even in a big city like Chicago.
Anyone who works at this bar should be ashamed, and those who visit this bar should also. Patronizing this bar shows your support for their bigotry.

Not so great even if you're not black. It's special because it's not very friendly, especially if you are an African American, based on what I am reading in the news. (Those Wash. U. guys were very smart to try out the experiment by switching baggy jeans between a black and a white classmate.) But getting beyond that, I must say that as someone who really likes Chicago and its various restaurants and nightclubs, I was surprised by the low standards of this place. Not very impressive, and given the recent events, not worth going out of your way to patronize. Just choose one of a million other establishments that are good and do not discriminate. (Unless, of course, you are a member of the KKK or skinheads. They would love this joint.)

When is it going to stop?!. Unfortunately, I'll never attend this establishment. Although, I may not make if passed the front door anyway. I'm very disappointed to see that racism still exist, especially coming from the hometown of our first Black President and First Lady.

Not for me.. I haven't been here yet, but from the media and reviews, I would never go. Bunch of racist pricks. They should change the name to Mother's White Club and relocate to rural Alabama.

WOW!!!. First of all i would like to say i LOVE being BLk and i cant Stand racist PPl if you feel the same way pls do not gO To the NIGHT Club.. they Will Get shuT down Soon By the BBB because racism was suppose to be done and over with but i guess not NOW!! this is just ridiculous!!

Glad to see Jim Crow is alive and well at Mother's!. I have had several poor experiences at Mother's before. Now that they have instituted an "WHITES ONLY" policy. I guess they won't have to worry about me spending another dime in this establishment. I look forward to the day I drive by and see this place closed.
