Editorial Review for Trollhaugen – by Citysearch Editors

In Short
If you're a bit rusty, this forgiving hill is a good place to gain back your confidence. Most of the 22 runs cater to inexperienced skiers and are fairly wide open (great for those with an underdeveloped sense of direction). Snowboarders will find a park with a quarter-pipe, a spine and slide rails. The hill is serviced by one double chairlift, two quad chairlifts and seven tows.

Skiable acres: 80
Beginner terrain: 29 percent

Trollhaugen is one of the best kept ski secrets in the Metro area. For starters, the grooming is absolutely the best...Vail-like corduroy. The snowmaking and daily grooming keeps the snow in near perfect condition from late November to mid-March, regardless of what Mother Nature provides. Great instructors, good rental equipment and a variety of restaurants, snack bars and lounges rounds out this close to the Metro skiing experience. What Trollhaugen lacks in vertical drop it makes up for in family fun....from racing camps and clubs to snowtubing....Trollhaugen has something for every skiier in the family.

A good place for beginning skiers to wear off some wax about 60 miles from the Twin Cities.  See the full editorial review.
