food is mediocre, service is terrible.
i ate here for lunch last week. the food was okay but the service was horrendous. i've never been treated so coldly and ignored for so long at a restaurant. i'm sure you can find a better thai place in this city with better service.

Okay food.
The place has a great atmosphere but the food was average....me and my husband have gone there about 3 times now. We mainly order their dishes with chicken. My husband loves the place however, i feel their sauces need to be a little thicker for me personaly and for some reason i always leave feeling like their chicken needs to be cooked longer. Pad-see-ew is really good and pad-thai is okay.

Good Thai food, excellent value.
I've been frequenting Mama Tai since I moved to Oak Park 4 years ago. So far everyone from out of town I've taken there has asked if they could go back. There is nice atmosphere, the food has been flavorful, and the portions healthy. I've always been satisfied with their food. They may not be the absolute best, but it is pretty darn good.

Casual Thai eatery caters to culturally diverse Oak Park residents and casual passersby..
In Short
Blond wood booths and mirrored walls lend an unassuming, approachable feel to this quiet Asian eatery. The authentic Thai dishes served here appeal to heat seekers who come solo and with friends to dive into satay, spring rolls and shu mai. Spicy with chili paste, hot and sour tom yum soup with mushrooms, onions and lime juice both soothes and sears. Favorite noodle dishes include pad thai, lard nar and pad woon sen--all of which are available with chicken, beef, shrimp or tofu.

WHAT A LITTLE GEM!.
My boyfriend and I absolutely love this restaurant. If you enjoy FRESH, savory Thai food, this is the place! It is on Madison in Oak Park right off of Harlem. Parking is where ever you can find it, but the prices are about $15 a person and it is a great date place. I highly recommend the Pad Thai, Pad See Eiw w/ beef, Vietnamese Spring Rolls, Fresh Spring Rolls and Tom Yum soup with chicken.

beyond all expectations.
being new to the area as well as thai food, i didn't quite know what to expect. but the tasty inexpensive dishes--green curry and pad thai w/ tofu--surpassed my expectations. the environment very eccentric, the staff wonderful and the price wallet friendly...i can imagine i'll be returning to mama thai in the near future.

pretty good thai.
Good but not great Thai food. Deliver tends to be under par. Pad see ewe is better than pad thai.
