Zella, located at the corner of Clybourn and Racine, has quickly become one of Chicago's favorite destinations since it opened Memorial Day Weekend, 2000.

Blonde wood, high ceilings, exposed brick walls and a fireplace give this hangout a cozy vibe. Young professionals from the neighborhood enjoy drinks and dine at tables in the front room, which spills into the adjacent bar area and onto the patio.

Make Zella's private room or beer garden the place for your next private party or special event. Zella's Private Party Packages are based on three hours and there is no room charge.

Editorial Review for Zella – by Citysearch Editors

In Short
Blond wood, high ceilings, exposed brick walls and a fireplace give this hangout a cozy vibe. Young professionals from the neighborhood toss back beers and dine at tables in the front room, which spills into the adjacent bar area and flows outside. The upscale American bar menu offers starters like grilled shrimp kabobs and fried calamari, plus main plates of fettucine with chicken, basil and sun-dried tomato pesto and tuna steak with wasabi mashed potatoes.

Outdoor area is very nice. Cute young crowd, nice location. Upscale American menu? grilled kabobs and fried calamari is not very upscale - guacamole is pretty good though. And $6 for a bottle of Corona? I'm not cheap, but not stupid either. Order a martini and the bartender gets a little flustered...

Pros: ambience, outdoor patio

Cons: value
