“The prices weren't bad either.”
Loop Bar. Want a giant Guiness? Head to Elephant and Castle! This Irish pub has a slew of beers and your typical Irish menu...Shepard's Pie, Corn Beef ect. The crowd - younger men drinking beer!
It's an ok place. There are far better places in the city than this joint. Take your friend somewhere else. You will have much better time.
Great pub food!.
We picked up a chicago tour book in the Watertower shopping center, and in it was a coupon for a free app at Elephant and Castle, so we tried it out. Being big pub food fans, we were impressed by the selection of tap beers, both domestic and import.
We ordered the chicken fingers and chips, and the fish and chips. Both were beer battered which was excellent!!! the fries were really great as well.
Typical pub decor, friendly staff, we will be back.
Nice British environment and food...:-). My sis took me to this place for a treat...we were seated promptly, even thoughy they seemed quite busy and it was quite full...i loved how all d servers or atleast the ones who served us had this distinct british accent...was awesome...i ordered my all time fav. shepherds pie and it was completely yummmy....a very good portion for a very very reasonable price...nice cozy lilttle place to be at..def check it out...:-)...
This handsome English-style pub is a comfortable after-work stop for Loop workers wanting to unwind..
In Short
This popular spot draws in crowds of white-collar workers for reasonably priced bar food and brews in a convivial setting. Dark wood booths and dim lighting make for an intimate atmosphere, while antique-style signage, knickknacks and bookshelves adorn the walls. Traditional pub grub includes Guinness Irish stew, shepherd's pie, and crispy battered fish, plus a massive chocolate brownie dessert with toffee ice cream large enough for four to share.
