Tips for Briar Street Theatre & Cabaret

Brilliant ironies, icky antics and enough splattered paint to cover a quarter of the audience.. What It Is

This is theater that's gone deliciously over the top. Three blue men spoof on art (wait until you see what happens to an Andrew Wyeth painting), parody science and technology (watch for the flying toasters) and transform a magnificent contraption of pipes into a haunting, percussive instrument.

'Tubes' and You

"Tubes" is vaudeville, mime, voiceless musical, food fight and something unnamable all rolled into a raucous, unforgettable 90 minutes. It's entertainment as raw as the bananas it spews. And it's one of the most original shows to hit the boards in years.

Beat on This

Along with creating one of the most original percussive acts this city has seen, "Tubes" has defined a new kind of musical process in which it's standard fare to beat on anything that makes noise.

overrated. Yes, some of the pieces were clever and thought provoking. But most were just okay. I think they have bought into their hype. It defintely did affect us-- we both had very weird dreams. I think it wa sthe strobe light.

Abso-blue-tly Wild. A packed house on New Year's Day for the Blue crew!? Front row seats (AA) are a little TOO close to see the whole effect on stage. Sometimes eerie being that close to men painted in blue and things flying about. Lobby is too small to hold large crowd indoors for a long wait to get into the seats. That was uncomfortable. Very Innovative, clever, rhythmic, audience friendly.

Indescribable Interactive Fun!. I went to this show thinking it was some mediocre performance of three guys banging drums. I left feeling throughly satisfied and in awe. This show has all the elements of a great performance. It even has the added bonus of audience interaction. It's mad chaos and I LOVED it! The crowd was going wild. I recommend this to all!! Well worth the money!

Fun and indescribable. I have never had so much fun at a show in my life. My wife and I were smilinig and laughing the whole time. We were at a total loss to describe the show to anyone, and that makes it even better.

Unique. What a cool experience. Be careful sitting close...you'll get covered with some nasty stuff!

This is a world class theatrical performance...totally worth the price of admission.

No Blues here.... The show is captivating. Very funny - I grinned for 2 hours straight. If you like out of the ordinary comedy, colorful special effects, splattered paint and neon colors you'll love the Blue Man Group. Be warned - if you sit in the front you might be in for a little surprise - be prepared to participate.

wacky good time. It's hard to describe this show. All I know is, it's great for the whole family, and it's a completely sensory experience. The sights, the sounds ... amazing performances, too.
