This place is just ok.... I just rcently visisted this bar the other night and the service was TERRIBLE!! I understand that its an after hour spot but come on now?! 30 minute wait on a drink, the bartenders look like they dont want to be there,Nasty attitudes, the people there are already way too drunk because they stay open until 5am, overly crowded with hoodrats (men and women) the atmosphere puts you in the mind of an abandoned house from the 70's, need i go on.. The only good thing about this place is that you can get a cocktail after hours, there drinks (once u get 1) are pretty decent and the music is good..

Vonski!. This little hole in the wall becomes a living piece of history on tuesday nights when Chicago jazz legend Von Freeman takes the stage. The atmosphere is truly "authentic", in that it's like jazz clubs used to be over 60-70 years ago: Smokey, People talking, laughing, drinking, there's a jam session that starts at about 1AM and anybody might show up, and of course Vonski, celebrating 80 years this fall, plays like a man several decades younger. Come check this place out on the next tuesday night you're free!

Park Manor bar with hot jazz and cool Formica.. The Scene
Those avoiding trends and themes but interested in hearing some smokin' jazz should amble down to this South Side lounge. The orange, blue and red rooms are named for the respective colors of each space's 1950s-era amoeba-shaped Formica bars, echoed by vinyl-padded mirrors on the ceilings. According to lounge etiquette, you must buy a drink in order to sit at the bar. There's nothing fancy to order, but the New Apartment Lounge sure is friendly.

The Draw
Although most nights there's no music, every Tuesday starting around 10pm Von Freeman and company play some of the best jazz you can hear in Chicago. After his set, local jazz-playing hopefuls line up to sit in with the band. Ethnomusicologists aren't the only ones checking out Freeman's Tuesday night sessions. The gig brings South Siders and North Siders together.
