Unhappy. So I ordered something for my 2 year old from the kids menu and somehow end up with five orders of the same item. To add up, I had to pay for all of them! When I talked to the manager, all he said was "Well I was not the one who placed the order!"

To many offerings. The biscits and gravy - has gravy that reminds me of Fancy Feast.

The Biscits - are ok -

they should cut the menu down by about 90% and get their rotating chefs to produce eatable versions of the food on a reliable basis.

best food good people. I cant believe the bad reviews I saw on this page the bad thing is they kept me from trying this diner for sometime when my friend asked me to meet her there i did .The food was great you could tell everything is made there , Ive worked restaurants when I was in school at such places like navy pier bubba gumps were everything is way over priced . The food at the diner was really great my server (Terry) was a real nice lady freindly makes you feel so welcomed I now go there on regular basis with my family. So the only thing I can think of is the people who write those terriable reveiws must not have much of a life and enjoy hurtig people. Honestly try this place youll be glad you did.

Good food.... pretty good service. I have a feeling that the people who said the service was bad was because they are expecting Lincoln Park service. I have found that the people who work there are down to earth and will be quick if you tell them to be. I like the calm, relaxed attitude and the old school blue collar feel. Make sure you try their italian beef sandwich on the submarine with some cheese on it. They seriously have the BEST italian beef besides Al's. If you are nice to waiters they will be nice to you... very enjoyable.

Food good, service lacking. Deluxe has pretty good food, what you would expect for the prices, and I love any 24hr breakfast place. The service was lacking though, it took a long time to get our food even though it wasn't busy. It's a great place for late night cravings though, and convenient to Loyola's campus.

Skillets, sandwiches and pizza star at this 24-hour Edgewater spot.. In Short
Red formica tables, black stools and easy-on-the-eyes track lighting make this 'round-the-clock hangout a comfortable spot for the crowd of students and neighborhood regulars. Expect sandwiches, salads, burgers and burritos, plus a big breakfast menu of omelets and skillets. Baked chicken salad is a big bowl of fresh veggies, iceberg lettuce and breaded chicken strips. Another option: pizza squares are light and flaky with toppings like sausage and pepperoni. Finish up with a thick Butterfinger shake.

Always bad food and service. I can't believe this place has such a good rating. I had to write a review to help correct that. I ate here when it 1st opened and found it pretty good & very crowded. I went again and found it less crowed and terrible food and service in 2004. In 2005-2006 I worked near it and tried it again. I found the service unspeakably horrible and the food just as bad. Ispoke to others in the area who all agreed it was not good place. A few said with the lack of cheap eats in the area they would return but stuck with what they knew and couldn't be messed up easily. The meatloaf which you'd expect to be good at a diner- is by far the worst I've ever ordered. Stick with the eggs if you must go and be sure to not have any plans afterwards since it will take forever.

Great food for the price. I frequently visit this diner on the weekends for breakfast. They have great skillets and recently they serve delicious carrot muffins as garnishment. The food portions are great for the price. The place gets pretty busy and under the circumstances, the service is decent. With the colorful plates and colorful servers t-shirts gives a lively ambience to the place. The place has been pretty clean, but bathrooms need upgrading, which I was told is under consideration. I give this place thumbs up.

Worst Delivery Service EVER. This must be the WORST service I have ever experienced. When I placed my delivery order, I was told it would arrive within the hour. When it arrives an hour and a half later, multiple items were missing. I called to ask about the items and opted for redelivery over store credit. After a SECOND hour and half and not receiving my items, I called back again. I was told that if I wanted the items it would be A THIRD hour or more (but they would be happy to give me store credit). Why anyone would want store credit to go back to a place that has taken over FOUR HOURS (and counting) to get the original order correct is beyond me. Not sure about anyone else but I have yet to find a restaurant that is worth a 4+ hour wait. Save yourself the trouble and order elsewhere.
