A Delightful Retreat from the Bustling City

St. Joseph's loft with it's two bedrooms, living room, dining room, office, kitchen and bath was an amazing deal. The full breakfasts the monks serve was excellent. And it was a quiet retreat from the bustling city of Chicago. We plan to stay there again and again!

When to Go:
During the busy summer season and holidays, book a few months in advance. Other times, book a couple of weeks in advance. Rooms are available year-round and for no minimum length of stay. Reservations can be made online or at anytime via phone.
Know Before You Go:
No smoking anywhere on the grounds; no pets or children allowed.
The Extras:
McCormick Place, Hyde Park, University of Chicago and Lake Michigan are close by. The monastery is two blocks from a supermarket where you can stock up for your stay.
