The Scene
Take a deep breath and soak up the Zen-like atmosphere. Whether it's the soft music or feng shui arrangement of the goods, shopping for gifts has never been so soothing. The selection is fairly restricted, but anyone with an appreciation for artisan-made jewelry and housewares will not be disappointed.
The Goods
If tea is your drink of choice--and we don't mean Lipton's--then you'll be having a party with the selection of Asian tea sets, coffee-table books about tea and tea tins. Virtu also brings in a lot of high-end, handmade jewelry by designers from New York, San Francisco, Rhode Island and Maine. A diverse range in style pleases those looking for feminine, sensual, organic, minimalist or elegant pieces. The always fun and free-spirited collection also includes little bowls with lots of color, graceful glass-blown vases, metal cocktail purses, naturally scented paraffin candles, handmade journals and mohair hats.

GREAT shop, everything that they carry is beautiful, a great place for presents (for others and yourself!) This was the first place I found that carried the magnetic, wall-hanging spice rack (I bought 2, love them) and I've gotten great cookbooks, gifts, and a gorgeous necklace there. The prices are reasonable, and I plan to go back as often as possible!

I found a great gift here for my girlfriend. The staff was more than helpful and even volunteered to gift-wrap it for me. Along with the custom necklace, I got some information behind the artist. That was an added bonus to the gift. I also couldn't resist a Japanese cookbook. There is a lot of interesting items here and definitely worth a stop.
