In Short – Formerly known as the Price Club, this large membership-only warehouse is chock-full of almost any consumer product under the sun-in bulk, of course. With goods ranging from high-end electronics to outdoor furniture to fresh lobster, this wholesale superstore has got it (lots and lots of it!). While the high-volume and low prices appeals mainly to families and business, it's not uncommon to find college students trolling the various aisles for free food samples. The various membership options offer a range of plans, all reasonably priced. A word of warning to shopaholics: If…

One-stop shopping

Solid place to shop for groceries. I can find pretty much everything I need under one roof, from bathrobes to pots to fresh produce. Love their prices and love how they offer lots of samples on the weekend!
For pantry staples, Costco is definitely the place to be. I hear that they pay their employees well, and it shows. The employees are always friendly and helpful and I've never met anyone with an attitude. Coming to Costco is a weekly ritual for me and my family.
- Pros: Samples, Great prices, Everything under one roof
- Cons: Only sell in bulk
COSTCO PHARMACY- no membership required
by AngelHugs
So my dog's cardiologist told us that to get people medications the cheapest place is the COSTCO pharmacy. She said -------it is against federal law to privatize a pharmacy------- so for this reason even if you are not a COSTCO member you can go in and use their pharmacy for the same low prices. Instead of 40 dollars at Walgreens we paid only 10 dollars at the COSTCO pharmacy for the very same medication. They have a price lookup on their website which is unusual too. Also our prescription was ready in just 15 min.
- Pros: COSTCO PHARMACY- low prices and website shows prices
- Cons: none
It stinks

Low end name brand products that seem to have fallen off a truck. Customer Service is awful. I had to spent what seemed like an hour explaining to an old couple, that wanted to get their grandson a computer, everything from memory requirements to what type of CPU is best for their grandson's situation. They had been waiting there for 20 minutes before I got there, eventhough they had asked one of the employees for help. I told them of a place with better computers at a lower price. We canceled our memberships, after they convinced me of what a useless place this was. If you need a 5 gallon bottle of ketchup than Costco is for you.
it does rock

Costco, is a great value. The quality of food is unparalled everything is fresh and tasty. You can't beat the prices. Tip go during the week, there are no lines.
- Pros: Good Parking, great value, fresh food
- Cons: Busy on the weekends
Got kids, this is the place to shop
by peterbehle_citysearch
Costco rocks, especially if you've got kids. They've got pretty much everything you'd ever need -- from groceries to booze to hardware -- and the prices are always good and your shopping extravaganza is finished in one stop. Sure, you might find better deals if you shop all the sales, but who's got time. I like knowing that I can come here, get whatever I need, and not worry about getting ripped off.
- Pros: Always decent prices
- Cons: Jammed on weekends
