Le Meridien's elegant but entertaining Parisian-flavored bar is perfect for liaisons--dangerous or otherwise.. The Scene
The massive portrait of Napolean with a dog's head perfectly captures the vibe: This isn't a stuffy Parisian hotel bar; rather, Le Rendez-Vous is playfully postmodern and boldly colorful. Reds and blues pop in velvet sofas, chairs and the marble bar, and seating spills out across the equally vibrant hotel lobby. Affluent, traveling couples drop in before or after a night on the town.

The Draw
Bend-over-backwards service is the rule here, so order anything. The bound menu lists specialty drinks, scotches, cognacs, cigars and desserts. Try the bar's namesake drink--made with vodka, cherry brandy and Campari--or the "Cosmovox" (a cosmopolitan with Vox vodka). Luxury snacks such as oysters on the half-shell and lobster and potato puffs are available; the stupendous french fries with Parmesan cheese and white truffle oil are perfect for a small group to share.
