“Wonderful juice bar and often have member brunches.”

“The urban feel of it is awesome, and another huge draw is having your own tv attached to the cardio equipment.”
bad billing policies.
I was a Cheetah member for a year. The gym is nice and clean, but I wasn't using it as much as I had hoped. I contacted them at the end of my contract, within 30 days before the renewal (per the contract).
I spoke with a manager about canceling my membership and he said to fax in a written and signed cancellation request. I jumped through their hoops carefully: wrote the letter, signed it, faxed it in.
Now, 4 months later, I found out that they've continued charging my credit card for a full membership AND have added fees on top of that because they couldn't run the past month's charges because my expiration had passed.
I contacted them today to help them figure it out, and the manager wanted me to play even more games with a special registration specialist. The gym might be clean, but their billing policy is shady and they're unwilling to correct their billing errors. Steer Clear!
Great classes. I love this place! The hours are great, and the people that work there challenge you to get a great workout. Its also a really good place to meet people, I have actually made a small handful of friends there, and dated a guy that I met there. The facility is clean, and the classes are the best.
Awful Gym-- crowded space with a rude staff.
The Cheetah sells overpriced gym memberships based on superficialities and status symbolism and , after one joins, continues to put on the sales pressure for additional services. The ownership/staff (not all-- but a few key individuals) is not only unhelpful, but unnecessarily confrontational and edgy.
Do yourself a favor and check out a real gym like Chicago Fitness center on Lincoln. It doesn't have the preening meat market aspect of Cheetah and it has more than enough space for the requisite equipment.
For fitness and well-being without corporate clutter, check out this quaint Andersonville gym..
The Scene
This tri-level gym creates a homey feel with its oak doors and staircase. Two three-story waterfalls empty into a carp-filled pond. Its lower-level stretching room pumps in new-age music, while the Spinning room is high-energy, with a sound system and light show.
The Services
The gym's 15,000-square-foot strength-training room is filled with state-of-the-art equipment from Life Fitness and Body Master. There are plenty of machines available, even when the gym is most crowded; you'll never have to stand in line for an elliptical trainer or recumbent bike. Classes include step and Spinning, as well as Pilates and power yoga. Fitness enthusiasts bored of aerobics and treadmill workouts can shake things up in a funk or street combat class. Refuel at the juice bar and deli with a smoothie or freshly prepared wrap.
Alot of Fluff. Yes, it is a nice gym and definitely modern BUT, I have been to several gyms in this city and this one has many faults despite some great recommendations. The place is too overcrowded and the staff can be very rude at times. There is really no place to stretch or anything else because of the "social scene". Prices are high and I hear they are a bear about contracts. If you are a gym person and cannot be intimidated this is for you, if you are uncomfortable in crowds the stay away.

I am not so sure that is a gym or a resturant. The gym has very bad air ventilation.
I can smell food while I am working out. :(
Great gym - but not a perfect 10. While I agree with the other reviewers that the facilities are in general quite good- over my past year as a member I have found the lack of space for stretching to be quite inconvenient. This is the one downside (well, this and Andersonville parking) from the otherwise well-equipped gym. At peak times I often end up stretching in the locker room as best I can.
AWESOME GYM. From the top floor where you can watch TV and do your cardio to the bottom floor where you can look at the turtle in the waterfall, Cheetah Gym is awesome. They have great instructors and most of the classes are included in a full membership. Wonderful juice bar and often have member brunches. Great to check email before/after workout. Nice place to workout with great people
Beautiful Gym, Incredible Staff.
The first time I set foot in this gym, i was stunned at how gorgeous this place is. The staff are some of the friendliest people i've ever met at a gym.
There's a nice little juice bar off to the side along with an internet cafe. A lot of equipment so there's not a wait for a certain machine. I'm pretty sure they have kickboxing classes and some aerobics programs.
Seriously, setting foot in this gym will make you want to work out there and keep coming back.
One of the best. been a member since day one. beautiful space, great equipment and staff. personal trainers are best in their field.
