Pub grub with a heaping side of Purdue Boilermaker pride.. Located in the bottom of a nondescript gray condo building, this spirited neighborhood pub teems with an attractive waitstaff and 20-something Purdue University grads. The Boilermaker love runs deep, as evidenced by artwork that highlights Lafayette landmarks, mascot Purdue Pete and other paraphernalia. The theme carries to the menu with items like the Pete's Porker, a smoked pork sandwich topped with Smoke Daddy BBQ sauce. An ample beverage selection includes Indiana-made Three Floyds and seven other beers on draft, plus 23 bottled brews and spirits. Add in food and drink specials and a live DJ on Friday nights, and even those who are--gasp!--not Purdue-affiliated can find something to love.

Great neighborhood bar!!. Clybar is a great neighborhood bar, the only drawback is the location--it's not in a highly bar/restaurant populated spot. New owners recently took over and the place now has some great plasma's, and a kitchen (with killer cheese curds!!). Food & drinks are reasonably priced, and the atmosphere is friendly and unpretentious. They also offer great bar wristband packages for parties. Love this place!!!

Beware College Age Party Goers. Great music but about 17 notches too loud. I had to scream to have a conversation. It was $7.50 for 2 beers. Not bad in comparison to other's. There were 2 toilets and the lines were so damn long I almost wet myself waiting in line! What really got me was the crowd, they were rude and snobby. THe overall average age in this bar was probably 34, so my being 22 really threw that off. I got some looks when I walked through the door. So if you are looking for a way older man, this is the place for you. But if you want to party with people you own age and not want to stick out like a big sore thumb, I would recommend going somewhere else. DEFINETLY NOT FOR THE COLLEGE KIDS. Post college and way into your career, then this is the place for you!

Mellow weeknights. I stopped by on a Tuesday night for a couple of martinis and I thought that this place has a lot of potential for fun on the weekends. Alas, I was there on a weekday night so I was in a mellow mood and the place was just right. The staff was friendly and attentive. The drinks were good - they had a special deal on cosmos and appletinis on Tuesday nights which made it even better! The music was good for dancing but there was baseball on the tvs - out of place but, hey, it's a Tuesday night so I'm not complaining. The regulars are a friendly bunch - a guy ordered 3 pizzas for the whole place. I'd definitely like to come back here on the weekends.

Been there, DONE that!!. I attended the Grand Opening of this place about a year ago, and I was once a faithful customer and preferred crowd member. I was fond of the opening of something new and hip in the neighborhood and frequently was seen at the once friendly-staffed bar! As time has passed, I have seen the staff and crowd become increasingly less impressive, more pretentious, and substance-abused!! After a year of business, I can honestly say it is passee to be seen here--and along with the drug-scene, this place is on its way to a fast burn-out!
