This lofty storefront feels much like a Starbucks, though its splashy wall murals and bi-level seating set it apart from a standard chain cafe. A jazzy soundtrack plays overhead; upstairs, long banquettes and window-side tables offer comfortable seating. Expect premium Prebica coffees, plus espresso, iced coffee drinks, teas and fruit smoothies. Also on offer is a light menu of salads, sandwiches, pastries and Java Lava: scrumptious nuggets of fried dough sprinkled with powdered sugar.

Went to get coffee for three. No carrier (you know like at McDonalds, Dunkin Donuts, Starbucks), the lids did not work properly and no cream to go. Not a good thing for a place named Java Java. The salesperson was less than pleased with her job and projected a major attitude. I left the coffee and walked the three blocks to Starbucks for great coffee and friendly salespeople.
Pros: Open on Saturday, Close to Work
Cons: Poor service, Mean salesperson, Bad lids for hot coff
