Skip it.
This is quite possibly one of the worst bars in the northside. Xippo belongs on Division St., not a nice residential area. The owners have no regard for the neighborhood and the street is littered with cigarettes every Sunday morning. I would give my business somewhere else. Also, the food is awful.

Great atmosphere, good romantic lounge.
While it may be out of the way for some people, Xippo is definitely a place worth checking out on the North Side. For those wanting to take a break from Irish pubs and want to take someone out on a date, this is a great place - comfortable seating and the abundance of red make it a nice little lounge to chat someone up while drinking a nice martini. Sometimes the service is a little sparse, so if you are planning on drinking more than just relaxing and talking, you may want to move closer to the bar.

Xippo is about to blow up!.
I went there on a thursday nite recently and was pleasently surprised. They have these two DJ's Denial And Scrow, newbies to the game, that were phenomenal! They seem to get a good regular crowd but I think they're on their way to hosting some decent parties in the near future. They spin electro-house and both guys bring unique styles to the table. Check them out if you can, not to mention you can eat and soon i believe these guys will get everyone to start dancing with their music!

This slick Roscoe Village lounge is heating up the 'hood with good martinis and food..
The Scene
Scarlet walls and red velvet chairs set a seductive mood at this neighborhood hangout. Red teardrop lights hang over the bar, and the tin ceiling is painted ornate gold. Patrons are young and sharply dressed, sipping martinis and mostly ignoring the bar's two mounted TVs. A sports bar this ain't.
The Draw
Xippo jazzes up basic bar food: Wings come Buffalo-style or in a spicy-sweet Oriental glaze with sesame seeds, scallions and ginger. You can get standards like quesdadillas and burgers, but daring palates will be rewarded with gems like tender grilled salmon with couscous and farfalle pasta with sausage, spinach and sun-dried tomatoes in a lovely cream sauce. Good prices, too--entrees are $12-$16--but service can be cocktail waitress-spacey.

Great atmosphere... great food!.
After living in the area for 2 years, it's about time there is somewhere trendy to hang out for drinks, a quick bite to eat or a romantic dinner.
The food was great, and reasonably priced...
Enjoy!

One of the nicest bars on the North Side.
I have an absolute blast when I go to Xippo. After going a couple of times, I met the regulars. Good people. Xippo has outstanding food and pretty much any drink you can think of. The atmosphere is always good. I absolutely love it.

the place to be.
I really enjoy the atmosphere, set up and of course food. Whenever I visited Xippo either in the evening for dinner or later in the night I had great time.
