Highly recommended!. Dragonfly was recommended to me by a friend. They said the food was some of the best chinese they've ever had! I had some friends in town and decided to bring them to see if this place lived up to the hype. Luckyily... the food was amazing! The Honey Walnut Shrimp was delicious and the place was trendy and nice. The had their doors open so we got to enjoy the beautiful weather also. I was happy with my experience and will gladly return soon.

Great Chinese Food. This was a great time. My family and I enjoyed the food immensely. I come here at least once a month to enjoy the situation.

Predjudice Dragonfly Mandarin Negative 10 stars. 16 friends and i went to this place, big mistake!!

They all paid to get into this place smooth sailing

as soon as i approached the door, "let me see the bottom of your shoes," You can't come in with those shoes on" why not?? they are too casual! too casual they are leather shoes, not sneakers! wheres the manager?? she's right here, as he points to a lady standing outside, um no she isn't the manager, then just as i turn around one of the employees enters the same door with similar shoes on!! So eventually some guy comes out to talk to me, well sorry, we had to turn others away also, well guess what you are about to turn 16 away tonight!! this guys shoes were beat up and dirty, he shouldnt be allowed to work there in my opinion!

Now i can understand if it were a black tie affair, or a corporate event, but this was a Saturday night!!

now with my attire i would be able to get into any other club. but they were predjudice this night for some reason,

I had on a very nice suit, but it just so happens that you can't where shoes with rubber on the bottom!! last i checked all shoes have rubber on the bottom.

all of my friends came out, and received a refund within 2 minutes of the shoe issue.

We went to a different club.

first impressions are lasting, and i will never go to this club again!!

lets do the math 16 times $10.00 i=$160.00

drinks i estimate 16 times $30.00 =$480.00

so lets see, thats $640.00 over shoes that happen to have rubber soles.

i give them a negative 10 stars

Please don't waste your time or energy here there are more places that will appreciate your business!!

Great friday night crowd. Dragonfly is amazing on Friday nights! They call the night fetish friday's and the place gets packed! I've been other nights of the week and it's been pretty calm, but there's something about a tyku drink special that packs bars! If you're looking for a good friday night this is the place to be.

reservation had no meaning, management made no apology/concession. we had reservations at 830 and were told we would have to wait only 10 minutes for our table upon arrival. after 45 minutes the hostess tried to put some tables together for us but the manger would not allow this. no one came to talk to us or offer a free drink while we waited, i guess we were suppose to just sit there and wait, so after nearly an hour we simply left, i have never experienced that before at a restaurant in chicago when i had a reservation.

Great ambiance and staff. I went to Dragonfly for dinner on Saturday. We had a reservation for 7 at 8pm. We had to wait about 15 minutes once we got there because it was a full house. The manager bought us our first round of drinks because it was my friend's birthday. That was one of the nicest gestures any restaurant has ever extended to us. Usually you only get a free dessert (which we also got at the end of the meal). The food was excellent. We ordered the Honey Walnut Prawns which was highly recommended from our server and it's one of the best dishes I have ever had. I will definitely go back just for that dish. The decor is gorgeous and the unmrellas on the wall was very unique. One con was that it was a bit noisy in the restaurant. Everyone was talking very loud. Next time I will try to go on a less busier night.

Horrible attitude - Don't every go here. I went here recently on a friend's recommendation. It was a cold winter night so I had a stylish leather jacket on and wanted to keep it on. They wouldn't let me keep the coat. They said it was a rule that every coat had to be coat checked. I looked around and saw at least 3 other people with coats on. Then a girl had her coat on and they wouldn't let her go up. But after some discussion they let her pass. Then we I pointed this out they said I was being obnoxious, but could go upstairs if I wanted. Then I find out I was talking with one of owners. Absolutely horrible manners. This place is more concerned about making a dollar off of their coat check than if their customers are comfortable. I would have easily dropped over a $100 on drinks on this place. I won't ever go back to such a place with an attitude like this.

Food was Gross. I just thought the food was nasty. I ordered beef with broccoli which was gooey. It was like they had used corn syrup or something in the preparation. We ordered spring rolls as an appetizer and they were way too greasy. The soup I had was ok. I would never go back.

We will definitely be back! Delicious chinese food!. This place is awesome! The food was delicious! My friend recommended it to me after her family went there for her parent's anniversary and couldn't agree with her more that the food was some of the best Chinese food I've ever eaten in Chicago. I'm from San Francisco so I'm used to authentic, grade A Chinese food. Dragonfly is a bit more americanized, but still very fresh and delicious. I would say, however, that parking is a bit hectic there with all the cars trying to get valet. But well worth the venture. We will definitely be back!
