“Since then I now realize that the huge televisions and fun activities were all smoke and mirrors to distract you from the terrible service and overpriced food and drinks.”
“The appetizer I had was great and, although I am not a dessert person, their coconut cheesecake was to die for.”
“can see how people would think this place is a great sports bar, but the TV's are dated, the service was awful, and the prices are absolutely ridiculous.”
“The food is good, but a bit overpriced in my opinion, and if it's a sport night or after a certain time, your options will be limited by having to order on a different menu than the regular one.”
“The Foundry offers more, HUGE TV screens than you can shake a stick at, a ton of pool tables and dart boards, an extensive beer list, cigar bar, and great bar food!”
“The Foundry is a great place to go to watch any games.”
“Big place, ton of stuff to do, live music,, service a little slow, but then again nothing is perfect, and prices are reasonable for beer and liquor, heck even a little on the cheap side of reasonable, so i cant complain”
“My friends and I used to frequent this place every Friday, the service was always bad, but the place is huge and there are so many TV's that we just put up with it.”
“Service at the Restuarant Bar was a little bit slow, my only big complaint.”
Very expensive, very poor service, lots of TV's. My friends and I used to frequent this place every Friday, the service was always bad, but the place is huge and there are so many TV's that we just put up with it. The food is pretty much just standard bar food (burgers, cheese sticks, nachos), but it is much more expensive than most bar food. If you are going there to watch a major sports event, they have a different menu on those days. The sports menu has less items, you aren't allowed to substitute anything and they raise the prices by about $1 per item. The managers are always rude, the wait staff could not be worse and the food and alcohol is very overpriced. Do yourself a favor and go across the street to The Fox and Hound, the prices are better and the service is 1000 times better.
Aurora restaurant and entertainment complex keeps the energy high with its sports bar feel and many of diversions..
In Short
Part sports bar, part restaurant with plenty of diversions thrown in, the Foundry is constructed from steel and brick, giving the West Suburban spot has an industrial vibe. A few steps down from the main level is a bar area with a wall of 18 12-foot televisions and a game area with darts, billiards and shuffleboard. For a more intimate experience, people head to the Foreman's Platform where they can still see the wall of TVs.
Over-Priced, Poor Service, Lots of TVs.
I have been to the foundry a few times and arrived at few conclusions:
1. The service is horrible (and she was unattractive too)
2. The doormen are rude
3. $15 for a pitcher of stale tasting Miller Lite is ridiculous
4. Food is average, at best
5. $5 cover for a bar near a mall is a joke
Don't come here for a good time unless you enjoy being ignored, overcharged and treated second class
TRUST ME!! DON'T EVER GO THERE!!!!.
I really don't like to use these reviews on places as a deciding tool on whether or not to go there but this time, i really should of listened. the service was HORRIBLE!!!. We went Saturday night as a group of 12 and on average, it took 1/2 hour to receive drinks after ordering. I ordered a cigar and it took almost 45 minutes to get it. On top of that, some in my party were paying cash each drink order and were getting hit with a 17% tip which was about 15% more than she deserved. So after 1 1/2 hours of this, i went up to the manager very calm and expressed my concern and he was such a jerk. NOT ONCE did he say sorry. Very rude as if he didnt care.
DONT EVER GO THERE
CHECK PLEASE!. We had a party of 8 and put in our dinner reservations at 6, by 7:30 we went to the reception desk to ask how much longer. We were told we were the next to be seated...only to be sitting upstairs overlooking the dinning area and see the next large table to be seated was not US! We quickly requested the check for our drinks while we waited and have never been back since. Aurora/Naperville could use a nice bar, but this is NOT it.
Thieves. The food was bl& & well over priced. The ID checkers at the door were arrogant & snippy. I bought on of the house steins b/c it is cheap to refill. They gave me a glass that was broken & I brought it to the server's attention. She accused me of cracking it myself. I also ordered mozzarella sticks for $9.00, when they arrived, they were small & there were only 5. Then, I ordered 3 drinks. I gave the bartender a $100 bill & he gave me $56 in small bills & quickly busied himself to the back. I explained that I was short changed. The bartender told me that he didn't serve me (even though he did all night), & told me tough! I have never been treated like this in my life. Coworkers & friends have said they had similar experiences. I do not recommend this bar.
Fantastic. This place is amazing! My friends and I frequent this HUGE sports bar and always have a great time. It's spacious, clean, and entertaining. Their mug club is an awesome deal, too: $15 for a 33 oz. glass mug that you can refill for $3 any time. YES! Cute servers, too!
The last straw.... The first couple of times they may seemed like honest mistakes but we were there for dinner today and were treated horribly, again. Our order came out wrong twice and upon bringing it to the attention of the manager on duty, we were told that we were wrong and that we "don't know our meats." I have never been so talked down to. Condesending, rude, unprofessional, inconsiderate, and unacceptable to say the least. Never, ever again.
Good atmosphere, poor service!.
This has the potential to be a fantastic place.
However, the service is slow and very unfriendly and the drinks are overpriced. Do yourself a favor, go somewhere else.
Only the lonely. It can be very crowded or busy at night with sports events. Don't expect service. Also, if you are in the wrong part of the place they won't serve the a drink offered in another location. The best part is the many big screens - it can also be the worst if sensory overload means anything
