Horrible Banquet!. I would have given ZERO STARS, but was required to give at least one (City Search should change that). Went to Toby's for a baby shower this weekend. NO AIR CONDITIONING!! 94 Degrees in there!! Candy bar party favors melted. Food was not great (buffet style), and guests were told they had to pay $1 for each soda!!! You'd think that they could spring for cool drinks since they couldn't provide any air conditioning. Maybe the restaurant is better, but I'll never to go another banquet there again.

Food Quality, Customer Service, Price. This is a four star hidden away in a three star setting. Rarely does one find high cuisine at a golf course country club evening dining establishment but, this one fits the bill. Standard lunch and evening diners shouldn't be afraid of the price, but neither should high cuisine seekers shy away because of the low/meduim price range.

Meat is top rate and fresh salads are crisp and of higher quality. Romains and leaf lettuces are used where expected; none of that bitter ice berg just to save a few pennies per plate.

Appetizers are interesting, somewhat flamboyant and very tasty. Many apps could be a meal for two or more.

Best Waitress; Racheal. Tip her well.

Eat at Toby's. We had our wedding reception here a while back and everything was GREAT. Great service, managers were great in helping us plan, food was delicious and the view was beautiful. I definately would recommend Toby's.

Setting is pleasant. Wait staff is friendly but service is uneven. Bartender had limited knowledge of drink recipes. Food is generally adequate.. I do not recommend using a credit card at this establishment. My card was charged twice, once for the correct amount and once for a different amount totally unrelated to me. I was told that the problem would be corrected on five different occasions. It never has been. Management claims not to save the signed vouchers. The owner refuses to contact me. I was finally told to dispute the charge with my credit card company instead of the restaurant issuing a credit against the erroronous charge or issuing me a check.

The matter remains unresolved after four months.

Finally - a superb SW-side restaurant!!!. For the past 20+ years south/southwest suburban Chicagoland has been sorely lacking in quality dining establishments. Hurray for Toby's - truly fine dining in a country club atmosphere - except jacket and tie are strictly optional.

A Nice Suprise!!!.... I came across Toby's Premier Steakhouse thru a Yahoo search for a steakhouse in the south suburbs of Chicago.Oh my!!! The strip steak that I had was one of the best I've ever had!!! I loved the ambience.The staff was attentive,kind,and professional. The side dish was a type of sliced potato with a cream sause that was awesome!!! I highly recomend this place.
