TERRIBLE MANAGEMENT. THEY HAVE NO IDEA HOW TO TREAT THEIR CUSTOMERS!!

Been going here for years. Food is pretty good, service is inconsistent, but the worst part is the hostess who seats people. She doesn't understand how to handle any problem or situation that comes up. She doesn't understand that the things she doesn't do to accomodate loyal patrons make for a very unpleasant eating experience. Case in point...we ate there several months ago and out of a party of 6, they totally forgot to bring my meal out. When it finally came, I asked for it to be wrapped to go and I assumed it would be taken off our bill. She said no and did nothing, not even an apology. Went back in December and had a coupon for $10.00 off $30.00 and she wouldn't honor it. She said next time I could use it with no problem. There was no expiration on it and it even states that it never expires. We got our bill tonight and presented the coupon and she said we are no longer honoring it. I explained that there is nothing posted, nothing stated and the coupon clearly states it doesn't expire. I also reminded her of what she said last time. She said the owners were in China and this was their policy. I told her for $10.00 she would lose us as customers and we would never go back. It isn't the $10.00; it is the principal. This woman has no understanding of satisfying the public when a problem comes up. Go at your own risk. If you have a problem; don't expect anything in exchange for inferior service.

Horrible management. We have been going to this restaurant for years. We returned home from a meal tonight to find that one of our left over meals was not in our bag. We called up to find out what happened only to be told by Chen, the so called manager, that there was nothing she could do. I asked to speak to the owner and was told he doesn't work there. I asked the owners name, only to be told she didn't know his name. She is the manager and has no idea who pays her. I am at a loss. It's not that the 15 dollars is the end of the world, but she said she couldn't do anything or give us any kind of credit because she doesn't know how much

we ate. Oh my god, give me a break. Terrible way to do business and we will not be going back. If she thinks after all the money I spend there, that I am lying, then I can spend that money at many other wonderful restaurants.

Long-time favorite. I've been eating at Sun Shui since they opened, and I can honestly say that I've never once been displeased with any facet of my visit. The servers are warm and friendly, the sushi chefs are fast, polite, and if you catch them while they're not busy, chatty and funny. The food, however, is the obvious reason I keep going back. The quality of everything that they serve is top-notch and it is served with a style and speed to match. My favorite thing about Sun Shui has to be the crispy szechwan beef. It's utterly fantastic, and I find myself craving it on a regular basis.

I think everyone who enjoys asian food will be pleased with their Sun Shui experience, and I'd recommend going there tonight.

If you want good Chinese and Sushi COME HERE. I have been going to this place for at least 8 years and there has not been one dish that I dont like. Granted I go for the sushi but all of the chinese food I have eaten here has been awesome. Great place to go on a date too!

Service Lacked Service. We live locally and had never been there

So we decidedto go. It was cute but we felt like

They wanted to keep us near the trash cans

Authentic & Fresh with outstanding service .. Nothing short of Perfection!. I've eaten at many Chinese restaurants and sushi bars in the Chicago area (including downtown) and nothing compares to the authenticity, freshness, flavor, customer service, and all around atmosphere of this place. I eat here at least 4 or 5 times a month and I?m addicted to the sushi bar. If you?re looking for excellent Chinese cuisine and the absolute freshest sushi Chicago has to offer, this is the place. This is the only restaurant I have EVER been to where I?m 110% satisfied every time I come. I recommend the green tea or jasmine tea with your meal, they are made from fresh jasmine and green tea leaves and not from tea bags.

Best Sushi I've ever had. LOVE THIS PLACE!!! The freshest fish, best flavored combinations. I've had my share of sushi, and I love this place. I vist this place at least twice a month with friends and family. Decent prices, great appetizers, and I can't say enough about the sushi bar. I highly recommend this place to anyone.

Hidden Gem. Sun Shui is consistently excellent for taste, presentation and ambience. If you prefer subtle and delicate tastes and exquistely presented food over typical Chinese fare, this is the resturant to try.
