“Enjoyed our desert somewhere else where the service and atmosphere was much more pleasant.”
“We were looking for a good meal, a nice bottle of wine, and a decadent desert with espresso.”
“drink were awesome.”
“Drinks are big and tasty.”
“The entire restaurant smelled of stale smoke which was the first turn off, next was our horrible waiter, we had to go get our own "early Bird" menus because neither the waiter or the hostess brought them when asked.”
“This was a sure fire sign that we were not in a great place, since it was a Saturday night at 7:30pm.”

“Bottom line: Good not great and similar in value to the chains”
excellant. Met two of our friends at the awesome place...Had a 8:00 reservation..seated us promptly..Sat us by the kitchen so we asked to be moved..and they were very accomadating..appetizers were great..dinner was excellant..drink were awesome..can't wait to go back..would highly recommend this place..nice alternative to chain places..
Hostess rude and with attitude.
there wasnt any valet when we got there. We were asked if we had reservations and was given a nod of unapproval when told we did not.
We decided to stay anyway. There are no other steak houses to mine or my guests knowledge of another steakhouse. I dine out approximately 6 evenings a week. So I was thrilled to check out a new spot. I found them to be full of themselves. Food was good to very good. Not great. Only my tenderloin came with gravy. YICK. Gravy on a tenderloin. Go figure.
Needless to say, we wont go back. Chicago is alittle further but so into service and value that it cannot be beat. I will pass on this place for good
Nosh on a juicy steak to strains of Sinatra at this clubby suburban spot..
In Short
Convivial and Rat Pack-reverent, this swank, '50s-style supper club is done in warm wood and shades of mustard, with walls covered in vintage Hollywood photos. Casual suburban locals dig into steaks and chops, plus seafood, ribs and Italian specialties. Popular selections include vinegary grilled calamari over paper-thin potato slices; tender, tasty coconut shrimp; and succulent prime porterhouse--16-ounce, 24-ounce "house cut" or the whopper 48-ounce. Another must? The two-inch thick, double-cut pork chop with thyme-scented jus.
scoper. I can't honestly rate this restaurant, because they don't honor reservations. I made reservations for my wife and my anniversary, a week in advance, and specifically requested seating in the smoking area. The person taking the reservation stated they had smoking tables in the lounge. When we arrived, they were going to seat us in the dining area which is non-smoking. I reminded them I had specifically requested smoking. I was told those tables were all in use and I might have to wait a couple of hours, however, if we could find a seat at the bar, which was crowded, we could eat there. An anniversary dinner at the bar???? No way. We left and went to another nearby restaurant. If you're a smoker, I wouldn't recommend this restaurant.
Kick it ol' school at 100 South. I hear the weekends are a bit crazy there, so I recommend stopping by during the week. I've never had a bad time at 100 South, whether dining alone at the bar or celebrating dinner with others. The food is great and there's something for everyone and all price ranges. Great wine list, great steaks, chops and burgers. Always entertainment as well. 10 oz martinis ROCK! Hard to leave 100 South sober.
A true winner. On a whim, we decided to try this restaurant. What a jewel we found. The appitizers were great and the steaks even better. The pasta dish my wife had rated an A+ with her(and that doesn't happen often). The atmosphere was fun and enjoyable. We'll definitely be back.
Love it!. I love this place. The steaks are perfect. And, I consider myself an expert since it is my favorite food & I have eaten at many of the top steakhouses all over the country. Perfect filet. The atmosphere is good, a nice nostalgic trip. The service was good too. I would definitley recommend this place over a chain type restaurant like Wildfire (nothing against them, its just that this place has a little more character and a few less characters). For steak in the suburbs, or against any steakhouse, you won't regret choosing this place.
Great bar, but that's all.. Excellent bar. Drinks are big and tasty. But the food is severely lacking. Of the 4 of us none was satisfied with the meal. My steak came out cold. The Osso Buco tasted like it was made last week. Service was mediocre at best. And to top it off, the dining room is so loud you can barely hear yourself think.
