My wife and I went to Jimmy's Charhouse in Elgin for Valentine's day dinner. My wife was seated in a soaking wet chair and then we were handed menus with jacked up prices for Valentine's Day! We left, went to a neighboring restaurant where not only were the menu prices the normal prices, but my wife was given a rose when we left. Oh, the seats were clean and dry too.

Needless to say, we will not be going back to Jimmy's if this is the way they run their business.

Why have a reservation?. We made reservations as requested but then had to wait over 20 minutes for a table for two, it's especially annoying when people then are coming in and being seated immediately because they have a larger group.

The food was great and our waitress was very good but why have a reservation, be on time, and then still have to wait.

I don't get it!

Can't go wrong.. Great value Great food. Reservations suggested, waits can be 45 mintues. Not enough seating at bar for wait.

Highly recommended. Great food, value pricing, and portion are very large. Enjoy.

If your looking for a five star restaurant look elsewhere. If your looking for a great value price 4 star restuarent, don't miss Jimmy's. Don't get me wrong this is a nice place.
