The Scene – Another classy bar from Steve Soble's growing empire (Southport Lanes, Lucky Strike, Corner Pocket), the Riverview is sunny and comfortable, with hardwood floors, roomy booths, and a subdued decor that pays homage to the old Riverview Amusement Park (formerly at Belmont & Western). My kind of bar...

Great Staff!! Good Bar Food... and they now have Peroni!!! I actually have lived in the neighborhood for 3 years and dig their 1/2 lb burgers (Midway Burger) and their chopped salads are huge.
If you want a bar that you can watch a game with no hassle and a good bar scene, this is your place.

Nasty and rude!

Don't go there. Should be on the next "Kitchen Nightmares". Encountered a really rude staff person, and found an old piece of food in the back room, with insects all over it.

Cubs lost and I still had a great time!

First time in a long time going to Roscoe Village but I'm glad I met my friend at the Riverview for the Cubs game. The Cubs lost (go figure!) but the bartenders and waitresses there kept us laughing. It's not the first place on my list of places to go but definitely recommend it if you're looking to dodge the "viagra triangle" scene and do something laid-back for a change.
