Our restaurant is a warm & friendly neighborhood restaurant in the tradition of a true French bistro. Opened in summer 2002 by Chef Michael Altenberg, we immediately became a favorite of the Lincoln Square residents as well as diners from all over the city & suburbs. From the beginning, we have strived to capture & express that ephemeral quality found in our favorite small neighborhood bistros in Paris & rural France: the sense of welcome, ease, fun conversations & of course excellent food. The setting is a charming blend of prairie-inspired d??A?cor & lively Gallic spirit. It is the food, however, that is at the heart of a great bistro.

Lincoln Square locals call this Prairie-style restaurant their resident bistro, a community staple for farm-fresh, rustic eats. A bright bar area and bustling dining room beckons an all-ages crowd of families and couples, while a romantic patio lush with flowers and greenery . A mosaic-tiled fountain enhances the loveliness. What a wonderful French bistro. Their food is delicious, wine selection superb, and service impeccable. I loved the ambiance, and atmosphere contributed to a great dinner with friends.

My boyfriend and I celebrated the new year at this adorably quaint restaurant. It was our first visit and we could not have been more pleased. They were absolutely full during our entire visit (New Years Eve) but we still received wonderful service and attention. It is a small place which makes it feel warm and cozy. Both of us had exquisite meals and the wine AND beer list were awesome. Considering the quality of the food, and the service, we thought the prices were exceptional. We have spent MUCH more out in Chicago and have not received such delicious food or excellent service. We will be returning when the weather is warmer to enjoy another wonderful meal outside!!

We loved this place. Our server was French- not that it mattered, but it did add to the authenticity of the experience. The chicken was juicy and delicious. Wine list was not extensive, but they have a decent selection. Romantic atmosphere in a hot neighborhood!

What to Drink:
Check out the beer list, which includes a nice selection of Belgian brews like Chimay and Rochefort.
Outdoor Dining:
A lush garden right next to the restaurant provides the perfect urban escape in spring and summer, and also a lovely venue for wedding and baby showers.
Parking:
The metered spots on Lincoln are tough to score, so try for a space in the public lot across from the restaurant. Pay for parking at the computerized meter, and display the ticket on your dashboard.
What to Drink:
