In Short – Dick Portillo opened his first restaurant from a trailer with no running water in 1963 in Villa Park, Ill. Today, each location has a unique theme that reflects the founder's love of history and Chicago. Menu favorites include Chicago-style hot dogs (topped with mustard, relish, onions, tomatoes, pickle and sport peppers), Polish sausages, Italian beef sandwiches, salads, burgers and more. Sides include onion rings, fries, soup and for dessert there's chocolate cake, lemon cake or strawberry shortcake.
Disappointed Customer
by mm101
To make a long story short... the food was good. But no food is good enough to make up for the poor customer service and errors made on 4 separate occasions (1 time a catering mistake). And on the 4th visit, they wouldn't honor past promises to make up for it. They have lost a customer.
EX of mistakes: wrong item given during Drive thru (not too bad)
over charged and refused to correct it, I lost money
Put hot catered food in freezed DAY OF EVENT, couldn't eat it
Finally, wasn't helpful in fixing any of the problems.
