Rude Staff. This place was a disappointment. The staff, especially the woman collecting fees at the door, was very rude. I would not go there see another band even if there was no cover.

Penny Road Pub. Will be going there for the fist time this coming Sat....to see the invisable band, But I actually got invited by someone that is in the band so this shall be interesting to see if they actually manifest. Will write a followup after I experience this Penny LAne Pub. We are on an American Road trip and this will most likely be in our Documentry SO lets hope all employees are on their Best behavior .

Penny Road. I generally meet a few frinds there to see bands we like.. It's usually a pain getting a drink from the waitress or the bartender ... You almost ALWAYS have to chase them down to get one... Foos is "ok" decent prices ... But when 8 of us meet up to have drinks and grab some food and see a Band at 9:00 and your almost begging for drinks and the Band does not go on til after 11:00 .... I can't honestly give a good rating :( Management is questinoable at this place, seems totally unorganized most of the time.

RUDE BARTENDERS KILLING THIS PLACE. We have frequented this place for 20 years...we try to only go now when Sharon is working. She's nice, personable and takes care of ALL the customer's there. The other girls are NOT! We took a chance and rode out on Saturday for burgers. That bartender was SO rude. She treated us like we were something on the bottom of her shoe. She was like that to several customers. In fact, one guy waited for a beer while she was chatting with another couple for so long that he finally put his money away and left!!! This isn't the first incident we've had, recently, with horrible service there and have seriously considered cutting it out of our routine for good. Bad bartenders will make or break your business!

Penny Road not your place, why not?. Penny Road Pub- relating to a review I saw on here earlier: If the band does not play, do not blame the band, talk to the management first before you jump to conclusions as to why the band did not play that night. Maybe the band had a member that was sick, or someone got into a fight earlier, or broke up with a girl, or whatever. Or, maybe the band was never scheduled to play in the first place. Also, why why did you go there expecting much entertainment if your sole purpose was to eat, and why are you crying over an $8 cover charge when restaurants charge more for food and drinks anyhow. I can tell you have never been there before, and know little about bands, or what you were getting yourself into... It is not a good place to eat, and it is just a gathering place for local bands, bikers, and people from all walks of life. They have made many improvements lately. As for the bouncers, why do take such an interest in noticing them? At least they have bouncers. If you were bleeding to death at Club Voodo or elsewhere around there, how long do you think it would take someone to notice? At least at Penny Road, if a fight breaks out, you will know, and the bouncers will beat the you know what out of whoever started it, even though it has historically been a rough place, there are rougher places with worse music, and higher covers, and worse food. Bottom line, if you dont like it there, next time stay home or try Melrose Brweing Company if you want some peace and quiet. If you dont support local bands, or loud music, or lack of entertainment is not your thing stay home, or maybe go elsewhere where you can eat a meal in peace, or get with my friends there tonight, so you can. this is my first message.

AVOID, AVOID, AVOID!. If you like tough guy bouncers and paying $8 for a band that never plays, then this is the place for you. I went to meet some friends and got to pay an extra cover charge to eat dinner and drink beer with no entertainment- except for all the flabby armed biker wanna be bouncers.
