“would NEVER recommend this dealership's service department, though their sales people were knowledgeable.”
Caring and Friendly Nissan Staff. I had a great shopping experience at M'Lady Nissan on 4/21/2012. I owe it all to the caring and friendly attention provided by Betty Jo, James, Abe and the finance team John(Peaches) and Mir. When it comes to shopping for a new vehicle you want a sales team to be your trusted advisors and professional sales people. I purchased 2 new Nissan's on my visit. I had purchased a 2011 Rouge 18 months before and received such great service from Betty Joe and Scott M'Lady, that when it came to upgrading our vehicles, I returned to a team that would work to assist me with feature selection, performance and fair pricing providing a win/win situation for both parties, my family and the dealership.
Jim M'lady Sales and service..
Fought with this dealer during the purchasing process that no one could sell me the car at that price. After I bought the car at that price from another dealer i used them locally for service. They commonly put you on hold for long periods on the phone and then send you to an answering machine.Once you do service there they keep calling your mobile with service solicitations even after 3 messages to discontinue.
The parts dept are good people.Do not buy or service from this dealer unless you do not want to drive to Elgin or Schaumburg. They know they have location on you and treat you accordingly.
Best Shopping Experience for a Car!!!!. I had the great opportunity to purchase a car from M'Lady Nissan in Crystal Lake, IL. it couldn't be easier. I had been shopping and took a chance and called M'Lady, they had the car I was interested in and at the price I could afford. I know this sounds like a commercial but it's the truth. This was the first time buying a car I didn't feel pressured. When I left I personally said good-by and thank you to Abe, Tazo, Betty Jo and Bryan they did all the work to make this possible. One more note M'Lady has a person "Betty Jo" that takes you through all the purchasing options for your particular vehicle I thought this was awesome. I'm very happy with my XTERRA, right color, right options!!!!!!!
Loved it. I really enjoyed purchasing my Altima through this dealership. I come in with a trade in, and they gave me more then I expected. I seen an ad in the newspaper, and they had the car. I received a call from the owner thanking me for my purchase. I don't know what better car buying experience I could be looking for.
Great Experience. This was our second time working with Pat Tate. He listened to our need for a little bigger vehicle so we could carry bigger items than the Altima. The Murono fit the bill nicely. Even though the two cars are very similar he went over everything including the up grades in the newer car with us. We appreciated his time. Pam Eilts
Scott M.Lady. I have bought several cars from Scott M""lady I always get the best price and service there. Steven tarzon
Good Service. I just bought from Mlady Nissan this weekend. They had the Maxima I wanted in the color I wanted and the price was better then Edmonds told me it should be. My salesman Severo was as nice as could be and understood I would not make a decision my first time in the store. I went home thought about it and came back the next day. Severo was with a customer so the sales manager Tom came over and assisted me. I was negotiating with him fo a total of 10 minutes. No back and forth like I experienced the last time I bought a car. It was peaceful, easy, and painless. I dont think I could ask for anything more.
Deceptive sales practices & bad business tatics. Purchased an 2001 Oldsmobile Alero from this deceptive business. Was told car was taken car of and need no work what so ever "best car for the price" by my car salesman Bob. Never buy a car from this place. They wanted one price for the vehicle then I was told it would change and be more money the following day if I didn't buy it. The bait and switch tatic which really pissed me off. I didn't realize any of this unfortnantly till I got the chance to get home and conduct reviews. When I purchased the car they handed me the wrong keys on top of all of this! My salesman was very pushy an insisted on me hurring me up and ask "well are you going to buy this car or not, do we have a deal"? When signing papers for final bill of sale my folks had to run their credit card as I paid cash to them after we left the dealership. At a later date after reviewing my credit reports I found that this place also ran my credit and saw an inquiry on my report! This made me more upset because I am trying to rebuild from past credit problems not incure more problems and Iv'e been keeping an eye on my credit along with working with a awesome Credit Union on rebuilding credit. Less than 24 hours later had to return vehicle to dealership for service. The service manager I addressed my problems to named Brian laughed at me and sat their eating a sandwich at his desk leaning back and wouldn't even look at me. What great customer service! At the time I was in my work uniform and thats why he laughed at me! I was on my way to work when I had to devert because I felt the car was unsafe. Upon purchase of vehicle I found also the horn did not work and car still pulled to the left, brake pedal pulsated and steering shook badly. Tranny flush, solinoied replacement and left alignment was still off! They rotated and repaired to front tires which did not need to be done which most likley messed up the car even more. Was given a loaner car during the duration the car was in the dealership for service and was told by service advisor Eric that car would be done in a couple days. Monday came around and car was not done I was then told it would be done on wednesday. Well low and behold wednesday came and no car. I called several times stating I need my vehicle back and was told it would be done by the end of the week. Friday came and I finally got my car back but their was something wrong with the braking system and car still shook alot. Found out few months later car needed new tires, front / rear stuts, coolant, brake flush radiator hoses, spark plugs and coil ignition. Have gotten everything finally fixed except I have to save up for tires still. But these are all things that should be done BEFORE selling a vehicle to a consumer. My father thought it was a decent car but I had my doubts. Only reason dealership recieved 1 star is because they had a no charge to customer on invoice and I recieved a loaner vehicle which drove better than the vehicle I purchased from them. I enjoyed the loaner more than my own car sadly. I am still filling out a BBB charge file against this company with the Chicago BBB district! I have not returned to this dealership since
Eddie is Great. I very much enjoyed my experience here. I work with a salesman named Eddie. He Was wonderful. I have never enjoyed buying big item purchases, houses, applainaces and cars. But he should me what he had to offer, showed me how it could work with my every day driving and was upfront. Hemade sure I was comfortable throughout the whole process and helped me cal the insurance company and stayed with me through the finance office, I have always hated that office. He made it very enjoyable and fun. For once I am excited to have this new car that I can brag about :)
Just Fair.
I purchased a used Honda Pilot from M'Lady Nissan in 2008 and while I do believe (in the end) that I got a fair price for both my trade-in and on the vehicle I purchased, I very much disliked having to speak to several different people through out the negotiation process. There was way too much, "Well, I would love to give you that price but I don't know if my manager/finance guy/etc, will go for it, I'll be right back." Then whomever the salesman would speak to would come over and speak with me, too..just way too many hands in the bag there.
When it was time for me to take my vehicle home, no one was able to find the key fobs, though I was initially promised at least one, possibly two. Since I live over 50 miles away, they promised to send me the fobs as soon as they found them - probably 1-2 days. After 2 weeks of waiting, I called to see what was going on and was told that they just flat could not find the remotes and now they believed that the previous owners of the vehicle had not turned them in when they traded it; they would try and get in touch with the old owner and see if they could get the remotes from them. After another 2 weeks, I called again and the manager told me that they had left several messages for the previous owners of my car in an attempt to get at least one remote, but the people just would not return their calls. The manager informed me that this was all that he could do and he wasn't going to go any further with this. I then inquired if they would reimburse me the cost of purchasing one new remote for the car ($80 at a local dealership) and he informed me that that wasn't possible; I then asked if I brought the car back to them (again, a 50 mile plus drive) would they program a new remote for me and he told me that since they don't sell Honda's that they couldn't do that either. I asked about taking it to the Honda dealer down the street from M'Lady Nissan and if perhaps he could work something out with them since they were a dealer in his area, again, I was told that wasn't an option. Finally, he told me that all he could do was offer me some free service but as he made the offer he also stated, "But I'm sure that doesn't interest you since you don't live locally." I've never attempt to collect on my free service, as I'm sure that once I made an appointment and drove up there, they would conveniently forget their offer and I would have to pay for whatever work I had done.
In the end, I was less than wowed by my M'Lady experience - I feel that once they know they have your business, they could care less about keeping it and following through with any of their promises. I do have to give credit to my salesman because he did really try to help me out with getting some new key fobs, but in the end his hands were tied by the manager. The finance manager was also very helpful and shopped around to get me the best interest rate.
