Not your typical pizza

I was in town on business and I was looking for the "Chicago Deep Dish Pizza." I asked a local and they directed me to Ginos. The salad was great and the wait staff and atmosphere was great! The pizza however, was not so great. It tastes good until you make it to the crust. It was supposed to be deep dish, but it seemed to be an unsweetened cookie dough. I wish the best for the people who like it and for Ginos, but it was not for me.

The Real Deal

This Pizza is the real deal--I remember as a teeanager going to Gino's on Rush --and this replicates the pizza that I have enjoyed for the last 40 years.. Go for the Deep Dish with the patty style sausage--the BEST! Also the antipasto and the breadsticks are a nice touch as an appetizer! The refillable sodas keep coming! The wait staff at the particular restaurant have always been cordial and accomodating--the place to go for a GREAT DEEP DISH PIZZA--even though you have to travel a bit!
