Great food, Great service. The food was really good and service staff are very friendly, and attentive. You know it's good service when you can't take a sip of water without someone coming to fill-up your glass.

It was a little pricey but I believe you get what you pay for.

I'd recommend the place for special occasions.

Excellent food, good service, nice atmosphere. I dined here about a year ago. The service is good, but not impeccable. The lobster bisque is to die for. The atmosphere is cozy and clean. The food is great. All in all, I would return, even though it's a bit over-priced.

Love the update of the upstairs!. I have had lunch downstairs a few times in the last month, but really enjoy the newly renovated upstairs. There were 3 of us meeting after work and we knew we wanted drinks and something to eat. We sat at a table and our drink orders were taken rather quickly. The menu upstairs is different that downstairs- it seems to have had more appetizers and sandwiches. We ordered a few appetizers, 2 cups of Lobster Bisque, and the tuna sandwich and shared everything and it was all fantastic. The Chicken Nachos, lobster bisque, and the Tuna Steak Sandwich were eaten in a matter of seconds (so it seemed.) Downstairs seems to be more business oriented & and higher end- upstairs is more casual- I enjoy both floors depending on my mood and my dining companions.

Good food, bad night for us. Probably we hit them on a bad night, good food, but the service was horrible. It started badly when what appeared to be the head bartender wiped the sweat from his forehead and then proceeded to squeeze the lime in my vodka and tonic. After that it was down hill. Honestly, I can't believe the service is like that on a regular basis, but in 10 years of travel, I have never had worse service and was only the 2nd time I didn't leave a tip and this is the 1st time I have taken time to write a review. Honestly between the somewhat nasty drink and poor quality service the food which was very good doesn't make it worth choosing over the many other fine establishments in Chicago or even the Ohare area.

Seafood served in an elegant atmosphere at a suburban special-occasion spot.. In Short
Tuxedoed servers keeps things moving in this dimly lit space, where each table has private dimmer switches. The menu highlights high-end fish and meat classics like creamy lobster bisque or black and blue ahi tuna: seared half-dollars of red tuna in a piquant soy-mustard sauce. Specialty entrees include linguini with shrimp, scallops and clams and filet mignon with port wine fig sauce. Key lime tart lives up to its name, offering an exquisitely puckery finale.

Dine to impress. This is an unbelievable place for couple to enjoy a patrician dinner. A wonderful atmosphere inspired by traditional fine dining in a contemporary locale. The food is exceptional; everything is fresh and is a choice cut. The large proportions are quite filling and the selection is ample, even for the non-seafood lover. The plentiful choice of wines leaves you wanting more. The attentive service and care of the staff is fantastic, they go out of their way to make you content. When I want fine dining or just to impress my guests or date, Nicks is my definitive choice.
