Rude service, minimally helpful

From the moment I called Gigi's they were less than helpful. I had to try on a bride's maid dress for an out-of-town wedding for which the bride was purchasing all of the dresses together. I had the style number, but when I called to find out if they had it for me to try on, the woman on the phone didn't care - she just said, "I'm sure we have it. We have lots of dresses." So after driving 45 minutes to try on the dress, I got incredibly rude service and snobby attitude. Gigi herself was telling the other sales ladies to tell me to come back another time and that she didn't think they had the dress. Well, they did have the dress and I tried it on, but of course, no one would take my measurements because I wasn't buying the dress there. I'm sure that on occasion, brides order all of their bride's maids' dresses from Gigi's and are forced to ask their out-of-town bride's maids to get measured somewhere else. As a courtesy, Gigi's should have treated me as a customer. After all, I am a potential customer with my own wedding a little over a year away. I will most definitely NOT be going to Gigi's to find my wedding dress.
- Pros: it looks like they have a lot of dresses
- Cons: dreary, messy atmosphere; very rude service

Wonderful selection for gowns.

So far so good, waiting on my dress that I ordered at the end of April and it should be in any day...it was directly out of a new catalog, not even in a trunk show yet, and they could get it in four months instead of the usual six. To the comment above mine regarding the rating of Gigi's...obviously she is not a seasoned bridesmaid or whatever, neither am I, but I'm sure we all check numerous stores as I have to decide where to order dresses from. I only wish I had ordered my maid's dresses from here...I only ordered mine...I was measured quite well, I was told I was a 16 as well, but one must understand per vendor and designer there are various size charts. Get real girlie and realize that your behind may not be as skinny as you think. Would you not rather have a dress altered to fit than one that makes you look like a cheap hooch? Not your day, not your wedding too bad. They have a great selection and dresses in various sizes to try on. What I had to do was try a bottom similar to my dresses and a seperate dresses top portion to see how it would look. These places cannot stock numerous sizes in the same dress, they would never see the return. I say gigi's is a bit tacky and small inside an far out of my way as I am in Lake Geneva, but it works fine for me and I get the service I need despite semi-rude foreign fitters (It's the cultural difference that makes them seem rude). The cashier and Gigi herself is what makes the business a success. I would definitely give gigi's a try. loyal customer I shall become.

- Cons: not ADA accessible, no website, dressing rooms with no doors

The prices were great! I love this place! The ladies there are very helpful and very nice! Prices start at like $100 and goes up from there! I never had a problem, and I highly recommend this place to anyone on a tight budget! Or anyone who doesn't have a budget at all! :)
