I'm so glad to see Buffo's still open. I was stationed at Ft. Sheridan in the early 1980's, and Buffo's was the place to go when Army food got a little tiresome. My girlfriend (now my wife) and I would go there on dates, and even had our wedding reception there. When we had a boys night out, a couple of the double decker pizzas were eaten while watching this fledgling TV channel called ESPN. Good times and great people. I remember Lenny with great fondness, he's one of the best. As I remember, there was not a bad item on the menu. My favorites were the pizza, the steak sandwich, and the Italian sausage sandwich. I don't know if it's still there, but there was a "wall-o-beer", where you could choose any one of at least 30 different beers from around the world. If your travels take you to Chicago, it's well worth a trip to Highwood to eat at Buffo's.
Pros: Great food, great people, great times.
Cons: none
