Great Selection and friendly service!. Was sent there from their Michigan Avenue store and realized the owner works there. She is the most knowledgeable person and has quite a vibrant personality! She made the shopping experience fun for me. Would highly recommend anyone who is looking for a fur or shearling to go to either location!
Bad Practices! Never go there. My mother called Barth Wind Furs to tell them she was in the hospital/then nursing home and could not pick up her furs from storage. This was in January. The fur contract expired in February. I went to pick up the coats and they wanted to charge me an additonal $195 to pay for the coats. So we had to pay another years worth. I told the owner that I would pay for February (that we were one month late - but she would not budge and I had to pay for the additonal year. I have to admit I went crazy in the store. Very bad practice. DO NOT GO THERE! THEY ARE THE BIGGEST RIPOFFS AND TOOK ADVANTAGE OF A SR. CITIZEN! BAD BAD.
Worst customer Service EVER. And that is a star too many. Owner is self-righteous and has NO problem overcharging you. Employees need serious customer service training, and will NOT tell you of special deals they are running. They charged me $200 for a service they offered for $65 ten days later (cleaning, glazing and storing). I paid $120 for the cleaning and then $80 for the storage. Nobody in that store had ANY scruples to overcharge me by at LEAST $80 by not telling me my options ("We don't push service on customers" was her justification, what a bunch of nonsense, you are in the BUSINESS of pushing things on people!!!!). I wonder if they can sleep at night, I couldn't.
