“The prices are reasonable and the staff is very nice!”
My husband and I have enjoyed Jameson's (in Mt. Prospect) for many year's. Food delicious, service friendly and efficient. However, the last two time's we have been there the food has been disappointing. We were given a gift card so will be going there tonight. Hopefully, food will be as good as we used to enjoy there.P.S. By the way...before the only thing I would have said that needed to be improved is the Blue Cheese dressing. It should be think and creamy, not watery!
Great Steak!. For being a steakhouse in the suburbs I was pleasantly surprised for how good the food and service was. I will definitely be going back!
Absolutely Awful!!!. We reserved a party room for a baby shower months in advanced and they doubled booked on purpose! We had to make new arrangements two days before the shower. Please take your business elsewhere.
Consistently Excellent!. We have dined at Jameson's many times over the years and have never had a bad meal. The steaks and fish are always fresh and flavorful. The service is top-notch. We have taken many friends to Jameson's as well and everyone has always fallen in love with this classic steakhouse. Highly recommended!
Great fish/great steaks. I've dined here several times. I love the fresh fish selection and my husband always enjoys a good steak. Great service, great food!
Average steaks at a high price. We took my parents there expecting a great meal. It was average at best. Outback would have been a better time. The service was okay however I felt the food was overpriced.
Bad food and horrible customer service.
Just got back from an evening at Jameson's Charhouse in Arlington Heights. Boy, I can't tell you how ripped off I feel. Let's start with the fact that the service was at best deplorable. Our waiter - I'll call him Mr. Clean, was impatient from the start. Yes, I know that the restaurant is busy, but, give people more than two minutes to make up their minds regarding their dinners - none of us (there were 6 in total) had been to the restaurant before. After giving us another couple of minutes, he was back to take the orders. So, we all quickly decided what we wanted so that he could get on with the business of being angry.
Food came at a reasonable pace, but, the waiter seemed angry that we required refills. Generally, he would bring them to our table and then say something to the effect of get your glasses out of my way - here's a thought, why not take them away and bring fresh ones.
Dessert time came, and one of the people at our table made the mistake of leaving to go to the bathroom...the waiter flared up again. Well, I will just have to come back I guess...and he did...two minutes later..We again quickly ordered so no one at the table would be hurt.
In the end, our waiter came back to get the bill. We were splitting it between two parties. One provided cash - the other a credit card. He told us he would not split the bill. It was all going on the card and the cardholder could work it out..Hey, was par for the course at this point.
Now, a comment on the food..How can I put thisAt half the price it would be average. At the price we paid, a rip off. I had a 26 dollar filet. It came with a tasteless soup and average salad. A small potato and a couple of dried up tough carrots. My dessert was a half cooked piece of cake that had collapsed during the baking process.
Food that the rest of the party had tipped the scales at average to below average.
I would never tell anyone to waste their money at this place.
Very Enjoyable!. My husband & I are from out of town & were celebrating an anniversary. I searched many restaurants in this area and came upon Jameson Charhouse and saw it's high recommendations. Decided to try it and was not disapointed. The food, ambiance & price was wonderful! We really appreciated the service. Our waiter was very pleasant and attentive. We spoke with a manager before our check came to compliment the experience we had. When the waiter came with the check he said that the manager wanted to buy us complimentary desserts for our kind words. REALLY A GREAT PLACE!
Affordable neighborhood steak joint dishes out familiar American fare in a rich, wood-accented setting..
Like its sister location in Arlington Heights, this is a family-friendly restaurant with an upscale twist. Locals settle into cherry-wood booths illuminated by swirly glass-pendant lighting. Light rock tunes, fresh flowers on tables and a roaring, two-sided fireplace draw couples seeking a night away from the kids.
The all-American menu is extensive and varied, offering items like chef's salads, beef liver and even a 26-ounce pork chop. The star of the menu is steak, from New York strip with sauteed mushrooms to a tender filet served alongside lemony bearnaise sauce, steamed broccoli, silver-dollar carrots and baked potato. Baby back ribs are slathered in sweet, clingy sauce, while outstanding shrimp De Jonghe is intensely garlicky and coated in oven-browned, lemon-kissed breadcrumbs. Sweet endings include tiramisu and a chocolate sundae topped with nostalgia-inducing Magic Shell.
GREAT. Have dined here for over 20 years. Food and service is always superb! This is one of the cleanest (if not THE CLEANEST) restaurants in the entire Chicagoland area. Never a disappointment.
