The Babyback is truly one of the Northshores hidden gems for barbeque. The ribs and BBQ chicken are hickory smoked and finished with their home made sauce. The Babyback makes their sauces from scratch including their BBQ sauce, beef gravey, cocktail sauce, and the best coleslaw that you have ever tasted. Reasonable prices and great food make this restaurant a must try.

Hidden Gem for Rib Lovers

Best carry-out ribs (no tables) I've found in the northern suburbs (glenview, northbrook, deerfield, etc.). The half slab dinner is about twenty bucks and is enough food for 2 to split. The sauce is terrific and complements the ribs rather than smothering them. Their cole slaw is out of this world - if you like cole slaw its worth visiting the Babyback just for that. Its hidden in a corner of a tiny strip mall but don't miss it.
