Worst Japanese restaurant EVER!!. The food and smell made us nauseaus. The egg sauce was a digusting glob of yellow slime. We had to shower when we got home to get the awful smell that had completely permeated our clothes and skin off of us. Do not go!!

Best Japanese Food. I have been going to Ron of Japans in Illinois since 1976. I wish we had one out here in Las Vegas. I have been trying to get the recipe for the egg yolk sauce they use on their shrimp, lobster, crab and other seafood entres. They are awesome and worth every penny.

Editorial Review. A chef wows communal diners with grilled beef, seafood, chicken and vegetables at this Northbrook Japanese restaurant.

Not as good as Kegon. The food is good, but nothing like Kegon in Deerfield! And the chefs are not nearly as entertaining as they are at Tsukasa in Vernon Hills.

Out of this world!. I have been coming to this Ron of Japan since they opened back in the 80's and I haven't tired of it yet. The food is always amazing and although I've gotten the recipe for the salad dressing AND the egg-yolk sauce, and even if one could duplicate them as well as the chefs, it would still be missing the ambience and "flair" that only

Ron of Japan pulls off! Superb food, wonderful atmosphere, fabulous service. If you

haven't tried them yet, that's okay... I don't mind keeping them a secret!
