Mediocre sushi, at best.. I had a taste for sushi today so I decided to try Pacific Rim Kitchen. It's close to work and located at the end of a strip mall I frequent on my lunch hour. I was told, by co-workers, not to go there as there are other, tastier sushi places around (Kamehachi). Well, I should have listened; I got the Spicy Tuna Make and the Sake Make (salmon) and neither were worth eating. Maybe I'm a sushi 'snob,' which I've never thought I was before now, but the fish tasted like they got the leftover 'sushi-grade' fish at the market and waited days to serve it. Really! Now I just hope I don't become ill. The cost versus the quality just doesn't add up. Plus, the dining room was just barely feeding 10. Not a great sign for lunch. Stay away from Pacific Rim Kitchen if you are a lover of great sushi. Maybe try their thai food instead...if you dare...
Decent Asian Food.
They have decent bubble teas. Their green tea latte is actually pretty good. Taste kind of like the green tea lattes that Starbucks in Japan serves.
Their specialty (and best dish) is their sesame chicken, which is big enough to share. They have a really good basil chicken too.
I don't recommend their pad thai, it has a strange color and tastes a bit off. Their Korean food is a bit weak too. Stick to the Thai or Chinese dishes.
It's a bit on the expensive side, but there's enough food to share or take home.
