Founded in Beverly Hills in 1985, these eateries with the trademark yellow, black and white color scheme have spread nationwide. The decor consists of simple wood and glass with roomy black leather booths. The thin-crust pizzas come with innovative toppings from Asia, Latin America and the Southwest; signature pizzas like the Original BBQ Chicken and Jamaican Jerk Chicken compete with old standbys like pepperoni and traditional cheese. Pastas, salads, soups and sandwiches round out the menu.

California Pizza Kitchen at Old Orchard Shoppingtown used to be a place I would WANT to eat at. However, now much has changed since those days. The quality of food and waitstaff attitudes have greatly declined since I began eating here. They have hired many new waiters and waitresses that can often be obnoxious and seem to forget about their customers. On several occasions, the waiter has walked past my table several times without asking if we need anything else or if the food is OK. On a separate occasion, I had an entire glass of Pepsi spilled on me by my waiter who then acted rudely and if nothing had happend. Even the manager did not seem too sympathetic to the spilled pop (which was all over me) and the air conditioner that was blowing on me. They didn't even offer us a new table, requiring us to just get up and move. The quality and availability of food which was once present is not common anymore and the food options seem to change from waiter to waiter. I am not sure how much more business I will bring to CPK. PROS: CONS: Was Much Better Before
