Consistently good if you want the same thing. For me, it is time to change up the menu. However, if you are new to Mggiano's, you will appreciate the healthy (as in large, not as in good for you) portions. You can't go wrong with just about anything pasta. The standard chocolate cake is consistently deliciuos. Plan on long waits for dinner almost anytime, and parking (due to the mall) can be VERY frustrating. Wine selections are OK, but pricey by the glass.

Family-friendly restaurant serves up enormous portions of southern Italian favorites in a nostalgic setting.. In Short
Family-style portions and red-checkered tablecloths create a casual, congenial vibe, drawing families and large groups to this feast of Italian-American nostalgia set to a Sinatra soundtrack. The made-from-scratch menu is brimming with traditional dishes, from starters like fried calamari, Parmesan garlic bread and Tuscan-style mussels to spaghetti with meatballs and manicotti with chicken and spinach. For those with room to spare, a piece of sweet tiramisu and a strong cappuccino help finish the meal.

Great Food. My husband and I went here for dinner the other night and had a fantastic time! The food was really great with a great drink menu as well. Even better was the service. The wait staff was extremely friendly and fast. This would be a great pick for lunch or dinner in Skokie!

Maggiano's in Skokie - Not Recommended. After recently dining at Maggiano's in Skokie, my wife and I were very surprised by the unsanitary food preparation at this restaurant. First, I noticed a hair floating in my bevarage. Second, my wife was served her entree with a small dead insect on the side of her lasagna. The restaurant offered to re-serve the lasagna and pay for our dinner. Needless to say, we left that establishment without having dinner and will never go back there again. From the outside, this restaurant looks wonderful - even have valet parking. I guess that is why you pay such high prices there. However, please be advised that Maggiano's in Skokie is not what it seems. Who knows how many people have been sick from their unsanitary food preparation.

I felt like I was at an Olive Garden but paying more money..... I've dined at Maggiano's across the country and usually know what to expect. However the quality of food here was disappointing. It seemed like microwaved or warmed over cheap Italian food. I will not go back to the Skokie location of Maggiano's, and do not recommend it.
