Try it and See For Yourself!. Any food chain especially known for breakfast that has the "original pancake house" in the title is worth a try. This place is not bad. I enjoy the omelets and the crepes...really good!

I just don't get it.... This place is Terrible with a capital T. I do not understand what all the fuss is about! You could get a breakfast of equal or better quality at Denny's, for a lot less money and a lot less time spent standing in line. I have been dragged here several times by well-meaning people, and so have tried nearly everything on the menu in a vain attempt to find something decent to eat. The pancakes were rubbery. The syrup is fake maple. The crepes were nothing special, and rather bland. The hash browns were burnt on the outside, raw on the inside, on each visit. The omelets were bland and watery. They managed to screw up French Toast...FRENCH TOAST, people! They used thin slices of regular sandwich bread instead of thick slices as most breakfast places do, and, as a result, the toast was so tough and over-cooked I could barely cut it with the knife. I will never willingly set foot in this restaurant again. Don't believe the hype!

Convivial breakfast heaven packs 'em in for legendary apple pancakes and egg creations.. The Scene
Surrounded by Tiffany-style stained glass windows and light fixtures, families and friends crowd wooden tables and booths. Everything is packed tight, so expect to get to know your neighbors. And it's loud, what with the tile floors.

The Food
On this menu, it's breakfast all day, every day. Favorites include the cinnamony baked apple pancake, plus other sweet fixes like chocolate chip or banana pancakes, crepes, French toast and Belgian waffles. Other options include oven-backed super-fluffy omelettes(the bacon and swiss is a definite winner) with a side of sausage (regular or chicken), or the quiche-like, veggie-laden Danish Garden. Note that hash browns must be ordered as a side dish--most items do, though, come with an order of three pancakes on the side.

Favorite old fashioned breakfast food. I've been going here since I was a little girl. Over 15 years! They haven't changed their menu. Always good old fashioned breakfast food. You have to try the German Apple pancakes. There's usually a bit of a wait on the weekends but the turnover is quick. Highly recommend it if you're looking for a no frills classic breakfast place that's steps above diner food.

Best breakfast -- if you can get in. Try to sneak in here anytime other than a weekend if you want the most amazing, bigger-than-your-head dutch pancakes (the puffy, volcano-like kind) you've ever had. You're already blowing the diet, so go ahead and get the apple -- you won't regret it. Only problem is this place is so popular that you just can't avoid an hour wait on the weekends (even when I got there once at 7:30am!).

a (good) experience. This is one of those classic places you have to try at least once. The portions are huge and sinfully delicious. The place is always crowded. And the Dutch Baby pancakes are fantastic.

Incredible food - best pancake house anywhere. You cannot beat this pancake house - no cheap food like diners/IHOP - they cook your food fresh and from scratch. AMAZING. I've eaten there no less than 25 times, and every time the food is incredible. Recommended orders: German Pancake (Dutch Baby is the miniature version), Apple Pancake, 49ers/flapjacks, chocolate crepes. Kid-friendly. Be forewarned - it's so popular that it's usually quite busy, especially on weekends.

Thank god. There's a place that makes a dutch baby pancake! I thought that anytime I wanted one I'd have to go to my mother's house. The apple pancake is also great, enough for probably 3 people. And don't forget the bacon-laden waffles... Genius! Service is average, but that's about the only average thing about this place.

The absolute BEST. This is our favorite place for breakfast. We had enjoyed breakfast there on countless occasions throughout many years. We've move to California and have yet to find a place that even comes close to the Eggs Benedict, or the Santa Fe omlette, or the crepes (which one to pick???) But the hands down winner is the apple pancake that absolutely no one has come close to replicating. Even though we have seen countless celebrities at breakfast, the breakfast in tinsel town doesn't come close.

Worth a try!. This place has great panckes! I love to come here, and my daughter just loves the food (she always want to come here)! It can be expensive, so I do not come often, but they do have a kids and senior Grand Treat (pancakes and eggs or sausage)which is inexpensive.
