Dubious French Food

We went with another couple. Each of us wanted soup but not the one on the special. We were told by two servers that they would charge us for outr perfered soup along with the special soup. There are no substitutions. We stated we would pay the difference in an up charge. The servers repeated"no substitutions."

We had mediocre caesar salad and no soup. My husband and I each had the special schnitzel. It didn't resemble any schnitzel that I have ever eaten (it is usually a pounded, thin chicken, pork, or veal fillet). This was greasy, thick, fried meat. At dessert time I ordered an almond tart which was tasteless. I also ordered a hot tea which the server spilled on my arm. I was charged for the tea. They couldn't pay me to return.
